How do Hero's mob?

I recently made a Hero and 3rd and 4th job skills don't seem to mob.

Raging Blow states it hits a max of 8 enemies but when I attack it's only against one target. The same happens with 3rd job skill Intrepid Slash.

Am I doing something wrong? Or do Hero's really have no mobbing capabilities?

Thanks in advance!

Depending on how you do it, Heroes can mob rather well, actually... the only real issue is that they don't have a lot of range, so you need to be a bit more active than other classes in order to get those mobs.

First and foremost, just going to say this now - Dimension Invasion PQ? Since the enemies are so densely packed together, mobbing is a cinch. You'll want to consider gaining the hyper skill that increases monsters hit with Raging Blow (then you'll be seeing a lot of "10+" on your combo hit counter). On stages like the one with the gargoyles, you will have to remember to take a step forward every 30 seconds or so to prevent the anti-bot protocal to activate (which stops your character from spamming one attack in one place).

Now, there are two ways a Hero can help their mobbing capabilities - Rush or jump-slashing. Both are pretty easy to do, of course...

The Rush method is good for flatter maps. Simply use Rush to gather enemies into a mob, then slice 'em to bits with Raging Blow. Easy as that.

Jump-slashing is better on smaller maps with a few platforms. Raging Blow has surprisingly good vertical range above the character's head. So, say you're at a place like Mutant Snails in Future Heneseys. Go to the bottom right, then begin jumping and attacking from right to left. Time it right and you'll hit the enemies on the bottom and the enemies on the top as you move towards the left. By constantly jumping to the left, you'll also be moving with the enemies and pick up more as you go. This honestly was an old trick Assassins used to increase their mobility while attacking via Lucky 7 and later Triple and Quad Throw (as those were their primary moves back in the day)... but it works for warrior classes as well. Essentially, just keep bouncing while you use Raging Blow. It'll take a tiny bit of practice, but you'll see an improvement to mobbing using it.

Finally, if you're in a map with enemies that take a longer time to kill, such as Second Drill Hall, you might also want to consider using Panic and Puncture properly. Gather a quick mob with Rush, then hit them with Panic and Puncture, then keep attacking with Raging Blow. The two attacks will put debuffs on the enemies that will up your damage output. Panic Darkens (which activates Chance Attack from 3rd job) and Puncture ups criticals done to the effected enemies. You always want to use these on bosses as well... but it helps on tough enemies.

Yea hero mobbing is pretty trash...
To train at your max potential as a hero, you need to 1 hit with rush.
Iirc it takes around 2m range to 1 hit SH with rush.

Er...what I do rush and gather all the enemies into one place, and go ham on Raging Blow.
Hero's mobbing capabilities are pretty mediocre haha.
Raging blow should be able to hit 8 enemies at once yes. Not sure what it is that you're doing. do you have enrage on by any chance? Enrage makes it so you target one enemy only with increased damage in return, if you didn't know already. Great for bossing, but mobbing not so much.
