Weekly 2x Exp Cards

Nexon was on to something back in October when they gave out (6) 2x exp cards.
This was a great idea as people had a week to use the cards when they had time, there was no lag or overpopulation at the popular training spots and there was no central time for DDos'ers to attack the game.
Let's return to this as opposed to set 2x times.
PS - Make the (6) 2x exp cards -> (8) 2x exp / drop cards...
@Bioshocked: I agree with you man. I think it is great if Nexon gave players more benefits that they could enjoy on their own time. Having that redeem section has its benefits too-but considering how much hackers target Maple and how much of an effect they have on the Maple environment (especially when a really bad exploit runs loose), combined with how beta of a feature that would be and how much time it could take to be otpimized, I don't think Nexon is willing to go there.
Well what Nexon is doing right now obviously isn't working, so they should probably look at alternatives. The servers are sluggish from the influx of players and then they are typically DDoS'd then because the server is already strained enough as it is. I think the weekend coupon event would go a long way in keeping the servers online and allowing customers to play at their own leisure. In order for a player to spend money on the game, they have to be able to log in and stay online for several hours usually. There will always be the threat of hackers, but they should at least try and take some more preventative measures outside of a software update to keep the game online. I spend a decent amount of money on NX, but I have become more and more hesitant about giving Nexon my money because of how little I feel like is getting done.
That event was good in that it addressed the lag issue of 2x and gave flexibility but I don't think it would address the problem of DDoSers identifying a prime attacking time. Anybody who makes use of surveillance tools would be able to see that most people log on during Fridays and the weekends anyways. I think the attack occurring during 2x just increases the frustration of the affected people who usually go on during the weekends which is why the problem seems to be blown out of proportions.
The event is better than what we have going on right now. Not all people would use their coupons during the weekend like myself. I'm not as patient as I used to be, so I really don't enjoy grinding for four hours straight with everyone else on the server. The prime time to attack the servers will always be during the weekend no matter what way you look at it. If they made them into coupons that could be cashed in for half an hour long cash shop coupons that couldn't be put into the cash shop, I think the event would be spectacular.

It still wouldn't solve the DDOS problem, if you crashed, you'd still lose your 2x. At least with 2x times, if the DDOS is short, you can still benefit. They should make the coupons still work even after disconnection.

I think it is honestly a matter of time until they let 200+ people buy them. There is money to be made there, but I think they want people to really work for 250 for now.

That was probably one of their better events since I came back. Everyone got their x2 exp at their own leisure without stressing the servers or putting a bulls-eye on the game for a DDoS attack. It sucked if you died or DC'd, but the event came with risks. Rather than doing x2 events they should just do that event again. I also liked being able to train for a half an hour or hour during the week.

But... with those cards if you die you lose them. If they changed that it would be great!
