Heavy Vs Ap Salvo Dps

I was doing a few bosses today to test the dps of the new mech, and it seems that you get more out of using Heavy (The AoE) Salvo instead of AP (The single-target). Maybe this is just due to being able to hold down Heavy while using Homing Beacon, whereas for AP you need to switch back and forth from using the two and I just can't do that smoothly enough.

Any math gods out there able to find out which is better? I'm solely using Heavy atm, even for certain bosses just because it's more comfortable and seems to do more damage. The only difference that could be noticeable is that I have 50% crit when using Heavy, but 100% when using AP since tank gives +50% crit

if you're going to do dojo do the tank mode and spam your homing beacons i tested with both modes i got 6:35 and i got 7:05 with the humanoid version
i believe homing beacon hits more lines. and not to mention you get more crit chance in tank mode so that already helps. also your hyper active skill increases your salvo barrage times 2
TL;DR
Tank mode for bossing
Humanoid for Training

Only thing that sux about AP Salvo + is that you can't stand still and spam it with Missiles for a long time.
