Ethnicity/Race
Now that polls are open we put a vote on what we are. I can't fit every type on each poll so I stuffed the ones I don't see often. Maybe I'll make a new threads covering specifics.
K, I messed up on the 1st poll, you can be western OR eastern european/white.
I can't fit "middle eastern" so I put arab so if you're offended then idk i guess just blame trump like people blame obama
If you're from central asia then how come we've never hear anything about your country.
Remember to wikipedia terms so you don't mistake a country in the incorrect group.

@beefly: I don't know what you mean -- if they would be separated in this poll -- within other groups from Africa -- or something else similar. In what way would they be separated?
@wellness: This complicates things because I'm sure sub-saharan africans want to be separated too.
@beefly: I think in your line of thinking, you have to consider that the native american and hispanic/latino are two distinguishable groups with separate history, and that the inclusive hispanic subgroups are different than the native american.
@wellness: Latino could count as Native American if they have South/Central American Tribes in their family tree.
Therefore I guess native american only counts as nearly pure native americans. Like those inuits in Canada, or those tribes in the Amazon, or should I split the two into North and South native americans?
I guess it's because it is difficult to distinguish between a south native and a mixed latino, but it is very easy to distinguish between a north native and a western white.
@pilox: Yes, there are a lot regional differences between and within the groups that create more distinct groups of people that go beyond skin tone, and then you go go further into individual levels.
You also have to understand that grouping Latino and Native American Together, or Pacific Islander, Black, and Indian would be grouping two normally perceptually, fundamentally different groups or ancestries, like African American with White American, or in your case European and African European, so I think you would understand why it would be more weird not to include that perceptual and ancestral distinction than not including regional distinctions like German or Irish, Chinese or Japanese (or Indian -- they are Asian, though have a vastly different perception and culture than the eastern and south east asian), or Black and African.
Black, Indian, Native American, and Latino(Hispanic) must have different groups to have a reliable poll.

just to clarify there is a vast difference between the whites too, especially in europe.
you have eastern white, whom look like the us whites more or less then you have the nordic whites, tall, bleach hair, crystal blue eyes, snowflake skin.
and you've got the irish white, grey or red hair, freckles, pink skin.

@beefly: I mean, the distinction between black and indian and pacific islander is pretty important. So is latino and native american. I'm interested in the actual makeup.
