Is MapleStory ever extreme?

So that one thread about GMS2EZ4ME made me think, what parts of this game gets pretty extreme. That's not RNG related, because I'd probably poopy myself if I starforced an excellent tyrant glove with no precautions. That just sounds too easy to guess.

We're all in agreement that this game is a casual game overall though right? Poll answers this question.

Okay, someone go make a blaster, fund it nicely but don't throw your life savings at it, and then go solo (or be a carrying part of the party) Damien. That sounds pretty extreme.

It's comparable to a Chinese sweatshop and the players are workers putting together i-phones at 2 cents per hour.

The old Zakum / HT raids are pretty extreme, especially for healer where you pretty much decide how the run goes as long as your party members are not idiots who don't know their own places. You know, when attackers were just glass cannons, everyone was too poor to spam pot / ACP so heal / dispel is quite essential to ensure optimum damage output, DK was wanted solely for HB so that glass cannons won't get 1 shotted, and a buff from this and that will make a huge difference when coupled together, and all that kind of stuffs.

After those times when everything is about solo and designed to be abused to solo stuffs instead of working together to fix the cons of one class and another but just merely combine the require damage to kill the boss now (not to say it wasn't about damage in the past, but all that small details sort of make the experience much more engaging. And it's pretty much "I'm merely here to provide buffs / binds / some utilities, so watch your own back on those 1HKO attacks hahaha" now), well, not so much. It's impossible to go back anyway.
