I'm an Ancestor?
logged in for the first time in a year for 5th job, im mad confused. what is this ancestor tag thingie next to my name for?

also im hearing 5th job takes 22 hours to do? is that true and if so is it worth it?

You only have to be online for a total of 6 hours. 2 hours for stone and a 8 hour cooldown (you do not have to be online for this part), repeat until you have all three stones activated. Plus, even if you Dc during those 2 hours your timer will not reset. It not much of a hassle if you think about.
If you don't get 5th job you'll be weak and can't go to certain areas.
It's for an event. It represents the age of your account.
Yeah the 22 hr thing is legit
And of course 5th job is worth doing, otherwise you're missing out on the entirety of the new endgame content introduced in V
That's like asking if it's worth leveling past 100
