Nexin gets banhammer

"In other news, a new law has been passed in Korea requiring all companies to disclose the probabilities of gambling-type items, and that applies to MapleStory as well! On June 30, they will be releasing the probabilities of their items.

So we'll finally know how likely it is to get items from things like Philosopher's Books (and other items like that)! I'm not sure if this will include Miracle Cubes and their chances to upgrade/get certain lines, but hopefully it does."

Omergawd, Nexin will now have to legally show gach rates/ cube probability/ the probability of anything gambling related in KMS
Doesn't GMS copypaste most things from KMS? Are you implying that KMS has different tier up rate?
regardless of GMS 'copy and pasting' their content from KMS, that doesnt mean American branch Nexon has the same gambling laws as Korea
EDIT: inb4 people complain that GMS doesnt do the same things as KMS with gambling rates

Yes, they often tweak things to "localize" gameplay for the regional versions.
Since this is a Korean law and doesn't apply to GMS, there won't be any reason for GMS to let us know if things have a different chance here than they do in KMS.
Seems like the part everybody's missing is: "a new law has been passed in Korea "
Won't have ANY effect on GMS.
lol "It's not gambling, it's just good fun" - Korean Nexon
I think we're being a bit too hopeful. Nexon could release qualitative and not quantitative statements, such as "30% chance of obtaining a 'better' potential," but because they don't release the definition of "better," even if they release the probability, we won't know what we're getting.
Additionally, just because they might say "There is a 5% chance of tier up," for example, Nexon doesn't have to release how it writes the RNG programs which, as I read somewhere in the Buccaneer forum, is really screwed up. I don't know if it applies here as well, but it might be that the actual probabilities are far, far less just because of conditions which are outside our control, which is what is considered to be "pseudo-random."

However, even if they give us something that's pitifully, disgustingly low, we'll continue to play anyway because... well, as documented by Skinner, that's just how people work

TL;DR: Continue re-rolling.

sad thing you guys wont care... we already know the rates are really low and u were still buying nx in hopes of getting certain items.
so i dont egt why you guys are getting all gung ho about it. you're still going to waste your money trying to get items/stats

probability of cubes will be like this

5% chance to tier up if you spend >$100
7.5% chance to tier up if you spend <$100
10% chance to tier up if you spend <$50
12.5% chance to tier up if you spend <$25
15% chance to tier up if you spend <$10

To create the gambling addiction

I swear 60% scrolls are really like 30% or something. Out of like 30 I used yesterday I passed only 4.

Yep. I was pretty happy when I read that.
We can now calculate how badly we're gonna get rekt
I'm very curious as to the percentages of certain items
