Staff questions (Fafnir vs E staff)
Hello, so I am a bit new to the revamped BaM community and I had a few questions about staves. So I know that Fafnir staves have more M.Att available as well as the set effect, whereas elemental staves have the benefit of speed. Now, I was wondering which one would be better for someone like me. A bit more info:
I don't and won't be capping on my BaM. I just don't have the funds for that. However, at some point in the future I'd likely be able to have some decent gear (at least a perfect/legendary weapon.) Secondly, I will probably aim for a +1 Attack speed inner ability but it's unlikely that I'll get it. I don't have any problem acquiring MPE green pots so those are readily available to me. I could also probably get a magnificent crimson queen soul as I know that sometimes gives attack speed. So with these factors in mind I am asking you BaMs to help me decide which staff might be better and in which situations.
Honestly...I really want to use an ele staff because of how they look (and also attacking super fast is great) but if a fafnir staff would ultimately be better, I could just anvil it.

Fafnir Mana Crown has an attack speed of slow (8). Hasty Aura gives +1 level of attack speed and has a passive effect of +2. Staff Boost raises your attack speed by 2 stages. To achieve an attack speed of (0) with Fafnir Mana Crown equipped, you need: +1 Attack Speed Inner Ability, Decent Speed Infusion, and Green Monster Park Extreme Potion.
Yeah fafnirs are the better option, better stats definitely. They are pretty easy to get and they're cheap. Easy to scroll if you wait for another fever as well.
@biancadelrio You can break damage cap with +1 Inner ability & MPE potion along with BaMs buffs. Also can break speed cap with Yellow Aura if you want to use that. The only time you can ever break speed cap is if you use a green MPE potion so don't worry too much over that. Just work on your range instead
Fafnir staff is just overall better in my opinion. Also for another attack speed option, you can try to get Decent Speed Infusion potential on gloves.
@flya: Hmm okay. If I can't get an inner I might use the queen soul. So I shouldn't be aiming to break the speed cap?
@biancadelrio Att Speed inner is definitely best, no need for the queen soul.
It's situational, when I'm bossing I use my Fafnir because of it's boss damage set effect, but when I am training and I know that I one shot the monsters using an ele staff then I would use it since it helps in the long run for ksing and training.
@flya: Thanks for your feedback. So while using an ele staff, do you think I should aim for a +1 AS inner ability as well as a crimson queen soul?
if youre not going to be capping on your BAM i would suggest Fafnir, mostly because the stats on the Fafnir> Elemental (aside from the att speed). You can also just anvil the ele staff to the fafnir.
