Do these scrolls still drop?

I wanted to get a scroll for shoe spikes and a scroll for warmth protection for capes (not the exact names of the scrolls). Do they still drop? I want them 'cause I'm bored and cold damage op

@okaythen: Oh I see, thanks for the explanation and the gif image. I see the difference now easily, I didn't notice this before. It seems like the normal shoes glides a little bit on normal maps while snow/spiked shoes don't have that.

Yea it affects on Aran and Mechanic, this one is super easy to notice and it's really horrible. If you wear normal shoes on these jobs you can dash forward + Jump and you would move forward with a great distance but if you wear snow/spike shoes it would just stop immediately and your jump will be vertically instead of a jump forward.

@hualicious:
What I meant was when you're in normal maps, snow/spiked shoes make you move a bit differently compared to normal equips.

As you can see, snowshoes (bottom) make you reach max acceleration extremely quickly compared to the standard.
It also makes you stop almost immediately without sliding (very fast deceleration).

It can take a while to get used to and might not be for everyone, which @cris1000 was talking about.

Some mounts also have this property, which is why I find playing a Wild Hunter while mounted on the jaguar very awkward to play with.

Also I did not know it affected the dash skills for Aran and Mechanic. That's very interesting.

@genostigma: Yea I know it prevents you from gliding on snow terrain.
@okaythen: I didn't feel any difference on my Night Lord when I used Yellow Snowshoes on normal maps. I also used to own shoes with spike scroll applied on it, not sure where it is. I might have dropped it. I thought I put it on my 'Agent Shoes', which I still have but I don't see it in the description. I crafted this scroll with the old crafting system.

I played a lot of different characters with Snowshoes and I only noticed the traction on Mechanic and Aran, the forward dash was so terrible because of it.

@hualicious: I think he meant movement in general. It does require a bit of getting used to if you've played with normal movement for a long time.

@hualicious: Not sure about the skill traction, but it stops the gliding in snow areas.

@littletlk: Oh yea I forgot about it.

@cris1000: 'The scroll for shoes for spikes makes your traction insane, which takes time to get used to and might not be for everyone.'

Do you mean this affects certain skills that makes you move forward? A job that dashes forward by sliding on the ground. I noticed this on my Mechanic and Aran when I was using Snowshoes. But jobs that doesn't have these kind of forward (and backward, if it also applies on that) dashes should be fine.

@hualicious:
Those are blank because the mob "Yeti & Pepe" doesn't drop anything.
"Separated Yeti" and "Separated Pepe" drop items. It's weird.

I got the spikes scrolls a few years ago from Yetis when walking from elnath to dead mine. The scroll for shoes for spikes makes your traction insane, which takes time to get used to and might not be for everyone.

Try Pepe, Dark Pepe, Yeti, Dark Yeti, Werewolf and Lycanthrope. In the Monsterbook these monsters have it in their drop list, however the drop list is not accurate. I see a blank drop list for Yeti & Pepe and Dark Yeti & Pepe.
