Whats the best colleges Im looking at?

I earned a 3.3 GPA for my sophomore year and I earned a 4.2 GPA for the first semester this year. I plan to keep that GPA for the second semester as well.
extra curriculars:
200 hours community service
varsity track
mock trial
raising hope (charity club)

next year I plan to take 3 APs and pass all with A's but anyways

I feel as if I've severely limited my college selection with my poor performance my sophomore year. Is that the case? What's the best (california) schools I can look forward to?

I got into Regis University here in Colorado, and it's the type of school where people say, "Oooh, Regis, wow," cause it's a private Jesuit university... you know.
But, I got a 2.9 GPA unweighted, 1880 on the SAT, and 32 on the ACT. And my essay was probably genius.

So yeah you might be able to get into UCSB or USF or SCU etc. Just not the super high tier like Cal or Stanford. My cousin works in the SCU admissions office and she says I still have an okay chance of getting in.

What's your ACT/SAT? That has a huge bearing on your college acceptance too.

hard to say until you have a definitive cumulative gpa to present. 'planning' to get a's doesn't mean anything. but the csu/uc system is super easy to apply to because you have one app for the entire uc system and one for the entire csu system (if i remember correctly). so there's no risk in applying to schools that may seem out of your reach, aside for the cost to apply to each additional school. i think it's around 32 per csu and 82 per uc, at least when i applied.

high tier for uc's are berkeley, la, and sd. mid tier are davis, irvine, and santa barbara. lower tier are santa cruz, merced, and riverside
idk much about the csu system, but high tier are sdsu, cal poly slo, cal poly pomona, and sjsu. these are subjective rankings though and are not specific to a particular program.

Telling us your unweighted GPA would be best.
And don't be worried; you can still pull up your GPA in the next 3 semesters. There's also the SAT/ACT and college essays too,
