If someone visited Australia from any other country
Would it be too expensive to stay for long? Everything is so overpriced in comparison to every other country, but in Australia you make more money, so it balances out to be pretty much the same with every other country. But since you're visiting from a different country and don't get payed as much, it would be really expensive to visit right?
I heard that a soda there costs five dollars, but everywhere else its like maybe a dollar or two. So yea.
Bleky you are just being a racist prick. I think that you shouldn't come to Australia and should just stay in your basement.
Wow that's pretty disrespectful and immature.
lol. we get movies 3 months after the release. :C
And things are pretty expensive but we get more money so C:
@onigiri123: :S I didnt knew that ._." I am going to try and be careful on the web x_x from now on
@elpanaj8: Unfortunately, the notion of equality has resulted in people needing to become 'racist'. I'm not offended but I know that the jokes are derogatory to some.
Australia is apparently in the top five countries for being the most racist.

I am here as a representative for the coloured people. As you can see, I'm a citizen of this country and will not tolerate the attacks on our people.
I am sick and tired of you calling us apes, King Kong, slave etc.
u may xcuse every single person that call u in this place that way but i must say something u might feel attacked or even insulted :S but for me a guy who lives in a south america country "VENEZUELA" calling for example negro somebody sometimes and almost every single time is just for love meanins x_x it might sound crazy but in my country the meaning of racism is almost dead to the point where almost every body accepted others no matter what color their skin is :S
Before the 60s I think they were classified as animals lol.
Yes that is true, when Australia was first colonized it was declared terra nullius because the British couldn't see any signs of human life here. The Aboriginal people have been discriminated against ALOT in the past and only very recently are people learning to pay more respect. Bleky, those posts are just disgusting and plain rude.
Do you guys keep the abbos on leashes too? I'd be kinda scared with them walking around in the open.
I'm from Melbourne

It's not racist if they're not even humans @Cronske @onigiri123
@Cronske: Okay I'm horrible with geography.. I totally meant South Asia such as Indians and Sri Lankans.
My sister is in Australia right now with her boyfriend. My sister's originally Canadian. She says it is expensive, but she enjoys it there.
Don't come to Melbourne. Everything here is definitely overpriced
But the weather's great! I've worked on my tan for the past two days. So sunny and nice.
Wages and prices are higher relative to America.
And that Indigenous joke...why.
There's really not that many. Most of them are In the Northen Territory anyway. It's mostly Lebanese, Asians and Greeks in Sydney/Melbourne.
You forgot the middle eastern people. I've noticed a significant increase of their population in my area(Syndey)...

careful about racism. It is a very sensitive topic in the media lately
@Cronske: I've seen a bunch of youtube videos of them just making a mess o.o

Don't know where you got $5 from. It's pretty much only that in sporting places and events.
Normal if you buy from a vending machine it's roughly $2. For $2 you can buy a bottle (not chilled) though.
For money saving tactics buy a home brand one. A big bottle for 80c roughly.
Also just to get used to the language, we don't call it soda here, we call it a soft drink
Also as you said wages are much higher here (we don't rely on tips for resturant) so it balances things over. On the good side, going on a holiday for us is cheaper now.
It's expensive here because so many things are imported.
I live in Australia and sodas are like $2.50 or even less sometimes BUT Yes there are things that are overpriced. I don't notice it much because that's what I grew up with
Soda cost an average of $2.50 to $ 4.00
