Splatoon Testfire Again

Put it on your calender if you missed out last time.

You'll be able to play on Saturday, May 23, for an hour starting at 3 p.m. Pacific / 6 p.m. Eastern.

Keep in mind if you download the demo you get a 10% off the eShop version. This is pretty nice as its one of the few games that has less negatives for owning electronically. The game is very small in size and is a game that you will log on to play a some rounds usually and thats about it.

It is a very very good game that is immediately fun. Since you didn't play the demo, which is my preference for people who want to see for themself, I will try to point out the major negatives first.

Con:

No Voice Chat - Its not there at all. In the testfire, it was by far not a big deal and I believe most people who play don't care. Still, more options is better than less and some people care about this.

Temporarily Incomplete - It is currently not a complete game. Which is why this is the rare time where I recommend downloading it instead of buying the phsycial copy. The game is very very small and to me that is a waste of a disc. However, unlike Destiny, Nintendo told us the game is incomplete and indicated that they would be fleshing it out with Free DLC over the next few months. The 60 bucks you are putting down is basically a season pass. The game won't really be complete or at a value of $60 until August.

Pro:

The above cons is what most reviews took points off for and it still averaged an 8 out of 10 rating. The game is that good.

Most people that play it find it fun, so the odds that you will find it fun is high.

I don't know if this is a pro or something that just happened to me, but when I play games like Super Smash Bros online, a few bad performances and I can get somewhat salty/annoyed. It is not all that fun to lose badly in that game. I assume this is similar in games like Call of Duty which is why that game has a lot of vitriol players. With Splatoon, I can get crushed, and while its always better to win, I am usually pretty satisfied if not happy. My reaction is usually " welp, guess I gotta get better " rather than " F this game! " I have not put my finger on what is causing this outside of fun?

Will do. I got confused with Witcher 3 Amd Splatoon dates and found out Splatoon comes out on the 29th not the 19th
