Maplestory on VMware Fusion?

Hello Everyone,
I know this has been asked before, but I can't find any recent threads about it, but can Maplestory be run on VMware Fusion? I currently have a MacBook Air that has VMware Fusion and I am able to run Windows 7 Ultimate or Windows XP. However, whenever I try running Maplestory through VMware, the message "Themida This Program Cannot Be Run On A Virtual Machine" appears. Is there any fix for this? This forum has some answers, but I think they are outdated, because none of them work for me. Have these solutions been patched?

Thank You Very Much

@ZaraByte I think they want to prevent people from running Maplestory from a virtual machine in order to prevent people from opening multiple Maplestorys at a time. I don't think the original intention was to prevent Mac users.

Well thanks to everyone for the help.
@Ninjastorm33 unfortunately, that VideoBiosVersion you're talking about doesn't exist on VMware (I have no idea why, but I can't find it)
@ZaraByte I'm not trying to do anything illegal, I simply am trying to Maplestory on my school MacBook but I can't use other methods such as parallels or bootcamp (VMware is already installed as the app that my school uses)

So... In conclusion, I won't be able to run Maplestory on my school MacBook with VMware? Can someone confirm this?

I've been trying to fix this problem on my imac for the last few hours now.
I don't think there's a fix for it, as the last fix has been patched (I'm sure you've tried it before already).

Basically Maplestory devs have purposefully and specifically programmed the game gaurd to look for extensions that are windows specific (Or stuff like wine).
What I don't get is why they're trying on purpose to stop people from playing on a mac.
They're basically going out of their way to be azzholes to you.

For step 4 in the guide, try changing the value for DriverDesc to something, not just blank space.

I use Parallels, but I get the same message sometimes. I know for my instance I go into regedit>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>HARDWARE>DESCRIPTION>Sytem and under system I see something called VideoBiosVersion. Double click it and delete all the stuff it says in there. All it says is virtual machine blah blah hoopla. This is how it works for me on my macbook, only with Parallels instead of VMWare. Maybe check it out?

I've run it in vmware before. I would suggest using bootcamp though as vmware is pretty laggy.
