Is this good??

Hey guys.

I was wondering if this pc was worth buying for gaming.

Or could anyone point me in a goo direction for a $600 gaming rig?

Would it be better to build one? I have no knowledge to building one.

Get something with an i5 processor, or an i7, or something similar that clocks out at around 3 or higher (Ghz I think), otherwise the storage is enough and so should be the RAM

For me. The Ideal hardware FOR NOW:

-Intel i7 (I can't remember the model, but let's say "the most recent and powerful" ) (AMD processors aren't too compatible with some games);
-16Gb RAM(Enough for now and next 1~2 years);
-GeForce 1080(This Graphics card will last for 2 or more years from now).
-2Tb HDD (1Tb is becoming too small for the upcoming games);
-The Monitor, you can choose maybe a 1080p, 144Hz screen (w.e the model, with these specs, you can have the most enjoyable gameplay that you can).

Maybe I talked very much sh*t but for me, that's the ideal build for now and the next 1 or 2 years.

@bumblexxxbee:

It's possible if you build your own computer with $700. My choice of core components with that budget would be an Intel Core i3-6100 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti video card (releasing later this month.)

If you want to stick with a prebuilt desktop system for GTA V and other demanding games, this would be my top pick from Best Buy (AMD FX-6300 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB video card):

Unfortunately, it will become outdated fairly soon. A new generation of AMD desktop processors is expected to launch within 6 months. Think about your options. I will answer any of your questions.

@bumblexxxbee: When it comes to playing GTA V with the settings you described, 2gb of vram will not cut it. In addition, the fx 6300 is pretty weak, look into a fx 83xx (not quite as good as the newer intel i5s, but it is cheaper). My build consists of a 4gb gtx 960 and amd fx 8350 and I can run GTA V at high settings with 50-60fps.

@burning: I would like to play gta v with extremely good settings online. Maybe LoL but never played. And other newer games like that.

That's a terrible system for gaming.

For the performance, the processor is weak and the video card is only slightly better than onboard graphics which aren't made for gaming. I don't expect that computer to even max out League of Legends' graphic settings and that's a very popular game that launched over 5 years ago.

That iBUYPOWER desktop is inadequate for gaming, but whether that matters depends what games you play and want to play. League of Legends and CSGO would be alright, but there's no way the biggest upcoming releases like Gears of War 4, Battlefield 1, and Titanfall 2 will be playable when run on that system. A $600 laptop with Intel parts would offer gaming performance that's slightly worse while providing better value through the built-in screen.

So from all that, I can't yet give you specific suggestions without knowing what games you play or want to play.
