They edited the patch notes twice now, at first they didnt even bother to inform that you have to do the egg quests in order to get the cygnsu totem quest..

September 2 - September 22

Accept the quest from Silent Crusade Starling from the event notifier.
Move to a hunting map and plant your egg using your Time Capsule Teleport Rock.
Travel back and forth between your egg and monsters you have been hunting every 10 minutes.
Hunt monsters within your level range to collect Feathers and return them to your egg to receive rewards.
A total of 100 Feathers may be used each day.
Rewards are obtained based off of how many Feathers are returned.

Rewards:

500 Feathers returned
Pierre's Best Friend
Spell Trace x30
1,000 Feathers returned
Crimson Queen's Best Friend
Spell Trace x100
1,500 Feathers returned
Von Bon's Best Friend

Once you have given the egg 1,500 Feathers and received those rewards from Starling, an additional quest will become available.

Master Craftman's Cube: Expires after 30 days, Untradeable
Meister's Cube: Expires after 30 days, Untradeable

I understand you guys want compensation but you can't blame Nexon for your limited comprehension.

We are glad to assist you on your issue. The event calendar considers the Time Capsule and Hot Dog's Thanks to be a single event. The Time Capsule event ends on Sept, 22. From Sept. 23 - Sept. 29, the 2nd part of the quest, Hot Dog's Thanks will be available to players that had turned in 1,500 feathers during the Time Capsule event. We apologize for not making it clear on our patch notes or in-game dialog.

Unfortunately, since you were not able to turn in 1,500 feathers on this event, you will not be able to proceed to the second part of the quest - Hot Dog's Thanks (9/23 - 9/29). I understand that you were not aware of the premature completion of the quest. Thus, I have compensated your account for 4,000 MaplePoints for the inconvenience you have experienced. Please give it around 24 hours to take in effect.

did you talk to starling at the base yet? i did after i handed in my 1500 and i got the star notification.

I took advantage of the 4x drops on sundays and took me only like 3 hours to collect in dipq.
Also i read the expiration date on the log so i knew lmao.

ughh I was gonna hand in my last feathers today too. nooo TT^TT ( my egg and tele rock is gone ) .... nexon is not gonna do anything about it though, like usual >.<

They gave about a week of cushion in case you forgot to turn in your feathers...it's not like an attendance that has no cushion days. We've had plenty of time.

That said, I don't like that the feathers suddenly stopped dropping without notice; don't get me wrong. But we've had plenty of time. 15 days to complete it, and about a week of extra time to this date.

srsly we just like wasted time getting 100 feathers each day knowing that we can get the totem just in time -.- send tickets guys~!

I feel like the development team is kept in the basement, and the support staff are in the big glass upper level. In between are a bunch of unsavy janitors they have to use as middlemen to elaborate for the notes how an event works.

Yep egg went poof and quest got deleted. I cbf to log a ticket and deal with the incompetence of support so hopefully enough people make enough noise and they'll fix it for everyone.

I noticed that the quest didn't expire exactly at 12:00 but like 15 minutes after. As for the egg, it's still at SDH where I planted it.

I guess we can all log tickets. That's what I'm doing. Maybe they'll extend it since it does clearly state on the note as well as the event tab in game that the Time Capsule Event ends the 29th.

There's two parts to the event. The Time Capsule event where we gather feathers. And the Hot Dog's Thanks event where we hatch the egg and collect the rewards.
