To get a better range what would likely give me the best outcome, getting 5bil mess and buying new equips or cubing clean empress theif with 100k nx worth of cubes?

I'd go the 5b route. With it, I'd get the SW Dagger and scroll it with RED scrolls and do trades in Commerci to get the rest of the set for an amazing set bonus. Also, I'd buy the Reinforced Gollux Set for more damage and you can scroll it pretty nicely. Instead of getting 15%+ every equip, you should aim on getting a full set of 6-12% equips as not only are they cheaper, they'll give a better overall damage boost and you could upgrade when you obtain more mesos. With the RED shop, I'd use coins to scroll and epic potential all your equips.
100k NX worth of cubes will not get you anywhere near what 5 B would buy you in terms of damage. If this was a theoretical question, that's all you need to know. Cubing is not an efficient way to transform NX into damage. On the other hand, if you are seriously considering cubing clean empress with 100k NX, I suggest you step back and take a long, hard, look at the current state of Maple.
Even if you do decide to go the cubing route, it might also be best to look into upgrading to SW too. If you decide to do that, you need to recube all of your transposed gear.
I would only ever choose the cubing route if they were all 3l unique. Otherwise 5b mesos to buy equips. You can get 2/3 peices of 15-18% which would boost your range quite a bit.
5b mesos, cubes are rather risky. But with 5b you can get 3-4 piece of 15%luck eqp. Unless you really want to keep those clean empress eqps.....then in that case cube them.
