buying nx is more of a ripoff now
in terms of using it for like cubes and premium boxes, it is a ripoff and thats because of how messed up the market is
i will give you an example:
it costs 3.4k nx to try one premium box ok, and lets say it took you 7 tries to get a worthy perm equip thats like 5b
3,400 x 7 = 23.8k nx used
now, this is where the ripoff part comes in
people can buy mesos cheap, like someone can buy 5b for $10 and buy that perm equip which 23.8k nx ($23.80) was used to get that equip
and it gets much worse if you get crappy equips that are 1 bil and less from the 7 boxes lol
so whats the point of risking so much money for when you get so much less in return? big ripoff i would say
the market prices should be more logical and raised or the meso prices should be raised but everyone always trying to lowcut each other like idiots and it makes the items so cheap
then again, buying nx is always a ripoff hahh

@tekari: ehh for me, with marvel i can break even more often. never won anything big though like an lgr lol
I think it's a ripoff more when it comes to Marvel Machine.
@endurance: I didn't actually mean to say that, I was speaking as if how I would feel as the person buying the nx boxes lol. I never buy perm nx boxes and I definitely wouldn't mind cheaper perm nx, it would save me mesos
@chopin
Buying Mesos is against TOS though, and while i agree that spending NX on RNG boxes or Royal Hair / Eye coupons is a complete waste of NX, I completely disagree with the meso prices being raised.. what the hell is the point of buying something over the meso cap? this will only encourage more scamming activity. the economy would be far better and much more fair if the prices were cheaper and affordable (for everyone), just like it is in mostly every other MMO
@rachelll: sorry i was just curious is all
not a rip off for people who just merch and actually try to make a living off the game ._.
@rachelll: alright, sorry about that.
@abidinghero: yea I see what you mean, i do that sometimes too but i'm not very good at being patient lol
For the longest time merching perm nx was my primary source of income, i never bought boxes I just bought and sold tradeable NX.
@chopin "the market prices should be more logical and raised or the meso prices should be raised but everyone always trying to lowcut each other like idiots and it makes the items so cheap"
I completely agree with you but prisoners dilemma is already tough enough with 2 players, having an thousands of young people who don't know about game theory or oligopolies controlling the economy you're going to run into many issues.
The a few things i would like to talk to you about with your concern, although I agree the market is overly saturated with perm NX and the producer surplus is lower than it should be, without somebody buying the NX the NX wont be there and supply would fall and price would raise.
The second thing is, like you said if you look at buying a perm nx box as buying a good and selling it, you make a net loss, but although this is true considering it like a good or a service isn't necessarily a good idea, you could look at it sort of similarly to purchasing a bond, or a piece of capital (kinda like how people use nebulites). Directly right off the back you may be paying 3.4k for maybe something that averages the value of 2.2k or something, but you aren't just spending 3.4 and getting 2.2 you are getting an asset with the current value of 2.2. It has value in being able to be moved around as an item, you don't have to sell it immediately. There can also be a depreciation value or an interest value, and if the interest value of the NX item exceeds the inflation rate of the meso (Which we already know the inflation rate of the meso is extremely high, as people seem to value 1 bil to about 2 USD when they used to value 1b to 10 USD, but i mean thats just how people see it not purchase it through illegal websites) then it can become a worthwhile investment, for example when the heros nx came out for the first time i bought a bunch of mystic phantom hats for about 600m, resold 2 for 7b and 1 for 10b before they rereleased them. Now on the other hand some other NX items depreciate over time, supply gets too high, nobody likes them, and they become worthless but its all part of the way things run.
Although I'm not saying i disagree with you, for the most part that buying surprise style boxes is a way to just lose money, its not profitable in the slightest, there is other ways of looking at this that you might have looked over.
@wellness Despicable and most conniving methods of extracting $$$ no doubt. Especially when all of Nexin's RNG is fixed with a low % of obtaining highly desired items. In the end, it all comes down to choice nonetheless. Either you choose to feed the hungry cow or not.
@evenings: @meiguihua:
please refrain from discussing illicit game transactions on the forums
its 2017 and the asians are still discussing if it's worth buying nx cash on an already dead game?
c'mon.
Nexon has a despicable microtransaction system -- like it's legit impossible to get most of the nx clothes without using the boxes -- but from what I've heard, it isn't even the worst company for it.
Surprise boxes are the biggest rip-offs indeed! But we should thank the whales who buy them, because without them, we would not have our precious desired nx clothing.
@evenings: @meiguihua: inb4 suspension
@meiguihua: oh okay can i ask maybe if u can give me his IGN in game? i am in windia u can PM me it and maybe i can talk to him see how it works and stuff, but is that even legal like buying messos? or is it kinda like NX where its not right but no one cares and still do it
Did you know? HitIer was a nazi!
@evenings: no don't message him he's like never on basil, I can contact him by discord
@meiguihua: ah thanks i guess ill message him or something when i got time
@evenings: Yes I heard a guildmate say it, though I never bought from him.
@meiguihua: oh is he a safe person to buy off tho?
@evenings: I have a windian who sells mesos: silentTM or silent-- same person
@chopin: oh that's cool i wonder if anyone in my server sells that would be convenient, not sure if anyone does tho
@ando2112: Yes with miracle time, don't gamble even if you got something good the first time. The results will/might turn bad if you keep at it.
@meiguihua: I actually participated in my first MT over the christmas period. Since I had a $50 voucher for a game company I just used it to buy a Karma coin from them. Only wanted to cube BPots on my wep/subwep/emblem hoping for m.att %. Which I got on all of them.
Would definitely never cube without MT, will probably stick to buying NX with mesos now .
@nyan: right, just saying the people buying the boxes are getting f**ked over lol
@evenings: no... i have sold mesos before for $ but not as cheap as it is now
Yea but i thought all the mesos selling things were scams? i personally have never seen anyone but messos or are there regular players who just randomly sell it for like steam games or something lol
Yes but, if no one opens boxes what good will buying mesos do if no one is selling the item.
A lot of people will buy nx for miracle time, and at the end; they'll be disappointed.
@chopin Its one thing to spend butt loads of money on the game, but its another when people brag about it. I'll admit I spent quite a bit on this game and I ain't proud of it but I'm not gonna go around bragging about it, it just makes you sound like a tool.
@pilox: lol i know, and nothing to be jelly of its actually sad i mean nexons brainwashing skills are top notch
it allows people to say something like "i cubed a 37% fame equip for $350!!" with no shame
Talking logic won't matter to these type of people. All they care about is "damage", and will spend everything they've got to get it.
If you say anything damage, even "i don't care about damage", 98% of the time you will be replied to with "oh u so jelly".
Just let it go and do what is cheapest to you!
