Elemental Staff Question

Which E-Staff is the one that Ice/Lightnings are supposed to use?
Is it 7 or 8?
I've checked a lot of places but they differ, so I just want confirmation.

while Estaves are cool as hell, Fafnir Staves are better by far, sad to say.
so if you're looking for an end game weapon, you should really be looking into a Fafnir and not EStaff.

@daringwaffle: Yep. I really wish Nexon would start to reintroduce little quirks like that to make the game so much more interesting and less monotonous again. It was the really little things from preBB days that really made this game unique. This thing with the elemental staffs. The way dragon knights had to balance their hp levels to get the most out of their buffs. The way thieves and archers couldn't attack up close so maneuverability actually meant something other than "How fast can I get through this map?". Choosing to forgo dex as an assassin to gain more damage, yet struggling to find equips to wear since none of them gave out crazy amounts of stat like they do now (seriously I think one fully scrolled fafnir weapon gives more stat than an entire endgame outfit used to before PB was released)

haha yeah as i was typing that, i was thinking "why the hell did they stray from ideas like that"

now everything is so cookie cutter, all the same shtuff for each class, its pretty lame! i guess its convenient in a way, but really if you use a staff, you can transfer everything to every mage aside from kanna and luminous. and beast tamer if you count that disgusting garbage as a class.

I don't understand why one of them would be reserved for i/l and the other for f/p
different staffs gave buffs for the type of attack, and penalties for other attacks.
7/8 is for I/L and did 10%boost to ice, 5% lightning attacks on one, reverse for the other, both had a -20%dmg penalty for fire/poison attacks

same idea for 5/6 only for fire and poison attacks.
What does that mean?
Damage penalty for using the wrong E-staff. 7 and 8 are blue/yellow for ice/lightning.

So I don't know if this is still a thing, but 5 and 6 use to both boost fire 10% and poison 5% so it didn't really matter which one you bought you had the same bonus. The same was true of 7/8 and ice/lightnings boost. In any case, if it is fixed the blue one is ice and the yellow is lightning. Just lookup what your last primary attack skill is and boost that.
To my knowledge, BaM can use any; Evan wants 5, and F/P wants 6,
yes, 7 or 8. they boost ice/lightning damage. if you're unsure, look at the orb in the middle of the e=staff. its color corresponds to which element it boosts the most.
Thanks a bunch.
