@Cincinna Check with the "student activities" (or whatever they call it at your school) web page or office. Like xfallingdreams said, there's probably a computer gaming club already and that would be the place to check for other Maplestory players.

@epiksnow ooh nice~ I'm actually a senior in highschool that just got accepted, but from what I know about the college and through a program I did over the summer, it seems like the perfect college for me. It's as big of a school as I could find in the northeast without a big "ra ra football" based culture, and I love snowboarding, which seems to have replaced football. The campus is fairly large, but not too hard to maneuver around. The town of Burlington doesn't have as much to offer as a city school, which was one of the downfalls, but it has alot more to offer than most SUNY schools or compared to the Jersey schools that I'd visited. Most importantly to me though, people who I know that have gone there have loved their experienced and gotten decent jobs (just a high happiness factor without sacrificing intelligence... it's not a party school, but it's not ivy league stress level). I'm sure I'll love it, and hopefully she will too!

How to find (or create) Maplers in your college/university:

1) Go to computer commons (many places have a large area with a bunch of computers open during the daytime).
2) Set up and play Maple Story (either on one of the computers or on your laptop). It helps to make sure your screen is visible.
3) Wait.

Eventually, a Mapler might come over and start a conversation with you or, more often, someone will see you playing, ask what it is and get interested. They'll download the game, try it out and BAM! New Mapler. I once "infected" my old college this way, getting 10+ people playing.

Of course, there were backlashes, like the Halotard frat types trying to insult us, then getting themselves kicked out of the commons by screaming crap at each other across the room like "NO SHEES, MAN!"

Can you tell me what you like and hate about university of Vermont? My younger sister is attending there next semester.

I think on the Maplestory's Facebook page, there's a list of people who like it. The people who appear should be direct contacts, mutual contacts, and you can probably find it by university/school/college, too. But Maple's never been a social game for me lol... I've always played on my own in the library and that was about it.

from personal experience, i did meet someone who did play maple and he was kind of well known in the old days. he got v persistent and stalkerish on me, and would log on after i grabbed food with him or something.

Sameee, but east coast schools for me!

If there's a Maplestory club at the school you're going too that has a Facebook. If not then nope. Schools generally have a gaming club so you can ask there I guess. Although most will respond League of Legends.
