What Car do You Have?
In this thread explain how you got your first car, where you found it, how you found it, how much you got it for, and even the nice details in it. Mainly if you got a used car or a car that was worked on you'll have a lot to share.
So far I'm on my first car and I got it for a steal.
It used to belong to a mechanic student who worked at UTI, a close friend of mine knew this guy and the guy wanted to sell it. So the close friend referred it to my cousin who wanted to surprise me by getting me a car because I couldn't afford one. Also it would make my life a lot easier seeing I have many places to be afterschool such as basketball practice, my law class, and my soon to be job. So without the car I probably couldn't do two of those things.
The car is a Ford Contour 1999 with 136k miles on it. It's the special edition so it's V6 and has a spoiler on the back hahahaha. My cousin got it for $750 and the mechanic student had spent over $4000 dollars on parts. It's basically a new car inside out. I even have a notebook with all the information on it of what he changed on it. Honestly It's a great car and I love it.

The TSX and the TL are almost the same. The TL is just bigger.

Details: Saved up for it when i was 11. Took almost a year. The car was never meant to be driven on real roads but in the land we owned in the outback. Had a ball and learnt how to drive manual in that paddock bomb

Lots of steering rumble and noise from the passenger-side front wheel well when I exceed 120 km/h, but aside from that, it runs very well for a car with 350k kms on the odometer.

WHAT! THIS IS INSANE
My current car is a '99 Acura Integra LS.
But my first car was a beautiful 1994 Cadillac Seville. It was perfect in every way, especially for being 20 years old, and I got it for $2000. I drove it about a week before it started having endless problems. I think we fixed $800 worth of stuff ourselves and a few things at the mechanic. Eventually it would just never start unless we put this head gasket sealant in, then it would start once and drive once then not start again. So, we posted it on craigslist, put some head gasket sealant in, and sold it to some sucker for $1800.
At that price range everything in craigslist is too good to be true. So that was a good way to drain ~$1000.
I bought my Integra a day later for $2000. It's pretty fun to drive, but the hood and roof paint sucks and it has some dents and rust. It also shifts really hard and has some weird problem wear at certain speeds I press the pedal just a tad and it lurches forward like it shifted, then I take my foot off the pedal and it slows down waaay too much. It also takes about 14 seconds to go from 0-60 mph, but its supposed to take about 8. I'm hoping that these problems are connected to one thing.
I drive an 03 Corvette Z06. Bought it off of an older gentleman who drove it maybe once or twice a month. Car is pretty much brand new with 32k miles(put on 6k miles in the last few months). Very fun car on the street and at the track
