@random87: the film is a deconstruction of the horror genre, so it's cliche by design. the 'serious ending' isn't serious at all-- the godlike entity that the government (?) is trying to placate is the audience. give it some thought.

Excellent horror/parody-ish horror.

@xxjarakudaxx: Yeah I get that it was sort of ment to be a comedy and it definitely has it's funny moments.
I love the scene where the guy tries to escape on a motorcycle.
Buuuuuut they try to make the ending serious which kind of ruins it for me.
It feels like they didn't really know what they wanted.
If they continued on the whole "cliché horror movie" joke they had going I probably would have like it better.
Either make a comedy or make a serious movie, don't try to switch halfway in.
(I'd still watch the movie again though)

@random87: They were cliche for a reason lol. They were kinda making fun of typical Hollywood movies.

I didn't like it to much.
The story and characters are super cliché (you've got your standard characters like the pot-head and muscly sportsy guy)
The ending doesn't make much sense and is kinda unsatisfactory.

Cabin in the Woods is a great movie, hope you enjoy it.

About the movie... it's just such a huge turn of events at the end (specifically that gif scene), that the movie loses all credibility!
