I suppose that's one way to approach things. But almost without question, the first time you try any boss worth doing, you'll get destroyed. 1HKOs are unforgiving by definition. Sounds fatalistic I guess?

You can do normal mode gollux. My marksman has 60k range and can do normal mode. Watch a video on YouTube to see how other marksmen do it so you can copy them.

Marksmen have arrow illusion which means you don't have to dodge for like 50 second chunks and you can just hold down snipe so bossing is easy as beans.
(Place arrow illusion to one side of gollux and stand at the other side he will attack that side, don't use a familiar otherwise gollux will just target you)
Beans are very easy, you just punch a hole in a can and pour them into a frying pan.

All you have to do is be patient enough to kill gollux.

Easy/Normal is possible.

Do you always stand in one place and keep spamming attacks with hopes that the boss will die soon while not realizing you can easily get hit and be killed?
If yes, you probably can only solo easy mode.
Otherwise, you might also be able to solo normal mode.
