Anyone live in a rural setting?

Does anyone live in rural montana/idaho or something similar? Or if you're in California but you live 3 hours away from society, I would love to hear from you. I might have to move to a rural setting for 10 months for work and I want to know what it's like. International people are welcome too, like if you live on a mountain in Peru lol.

Tell me what your life is like if you live in a rural place!

Ch14 Fm Entrance seems to be kinda middle of the road insofar as population is concerned. Scania, of course.

I've lived in a rural part of Pennsylvania, (surrounded by nothing but farms for miles) from when I was born until about 2 years ago. Now I live in sort of the suburbs, though they aren't part of any particular city and are more or less just in a small town. I'd love to live in a city someday, but I just can't afford it right now.

i'm currently living in the countryside in the philippines.
cons: internet is absolutely horrible (the worst and most expensive in asia apparently), no grocery stores, constant power outages, no running water sometimes, huge roaches and spiders, and it's currently rainy season.

pros: nice view of the ocean and when there's lightning over the ocean, it's lovely to watch. there's not a lot of people. not as noisy as the city. not as polluted.

ive lived in a city my whole life but i spent time with family in rural mexico. everything is far. its quiet. dont walk in the wilderness if youre not a local cause you can get lost. be friendly to the locals cause word spreads quick if you dont want to be viewed in a negative way.

I live in a town of 13,000 people in middle-of-nowhere Japan and I don't like it. But I've lived in big cities my entire life so this is something completely different to me.

Reasons I don't like it:
- there are literally 3 restaurants in the town, all Japanese places, no variety.
- I have to take a train for 20 mins + walk for 15 mins to get to the nearest grocery store
- said train only comes once every 1.5-2 hours
- there is literally nothing to do outside my house. if I want to do something fun I have to take the train for 1-1.5 hours to get to the city.
- there ain't no take-out or delivery

We all know Japan is technologically advanced, so I have no problems at all with cell service or internet. My biggest complaint is lack of entertainment (no mall, no movie theatre), super inconvenient to get groceries, and no variety of food at restaurants.

I've been a suburban kid my whole life.
I hate how other suburban kids think it's so boring and they wanna leave since the time they're 12 years old.

I think I find more satisfaction out of interacting with people and doing activities with people than going someplace else if it's only be by myself.
