Aww. That's really lame. If they're just doing it to prolong leveling they should just rework kishin so you have to be more active to use it. That way its more likely a real person using kishin and not a bot. I'm thinking they have to maintain some sort of combo count for it to stay up. And maybe you could have it so you get a buff for the party that grants +2% exp per 99 combos.
I think this would be an acceptable change. The need to recast it more often seems like a fair trade for the bonus exp buff. I'd say kishins exp buff stacks in parties but caps at 100% exp. Its going to be "hard" enough to get to the combo and maintain it. The spawn rate would cap out at 4x spawn.
Its conditions would be what ever its mana is now with a requirement of having a 25 combo count to cast. If we an maybe figure out someway to make it harder to cast or with maybe less damage you could have its skill animation behave differently near other kishins. It could be like Lumis reflection meets the thief's dark flare.
You could have it be a Normal speed attack going up to fast then faster then fastest with increasing kishins in proximity.
Awww if only. RIP Kishin in JMS. I hope GMS doesn't follow you.
They should remove kishin and just make it the norm. All maps should spawn as if they were kishined.
They need to delete sengeku all together. Bugged weak horrible
i really wish we could get some proof instead of just a reddit topic, but anyways this really sucks! Why take the main support skill that benefits everyone away from the support class? Saying its because it speeds up training to much isnt really a good answer for me, it would be like removing Holy Symbol from priests, i mean i guess you could and you would slow down a lot of the leveling process for everyone, but the repercussions are going to be a lot bigger than you think. You will lose all the mules which i guess some people see as a good thing, but you will also lose more party play with those characters, especially late game. Thats when damage comes into play in parties, everyone really needs to be useful, and unless your extremely funded there will be no reason for you to be in the party because your output isnt going to be the same as a normal damage class.
at the same time though, i can understand as someone who goes to college for game design how you would want to remove something that is constantly bugged in your game....you could just fix it on the other hand instead of angering the community.
Remove Kishin from Kannas. Put it on Jetts. Problems solved.
On a serious note - Just because something is seen as not being bad for anyone, doesn't mean it shouldn't be removed. If Holy Symbol gave +1000000% exp, anyone could just make a HS mule, right? Or why not have a 5k NX ticket that allows a player to instantly go from level one to level 250 in an instant? Kishin isn't as extreme as those examples, but apparently JMS devs have decided that the pacing of the game with Kishin is not how they'd like to see it.
When looking at such changes, it's important to look at it from the dev's perspective in trying to figure out why such changes would be implemented. I don't grind and I don't give a hoot about who Kishins this and that, but that's just my take on the situation.
@blackxmist: Didn't expect much of an answer, bitter men will be bitter.
@funkyflame: my answer is ok. theres knowns and unknowns and that quote you made is irrelevant
@blackxmist: Why not though? You do realize it's faster, right? "I don't have friends or a secondary computer, so why should other people get the benefits I can't get, ha-ha it's getting nerfed" - That's what you sound like. Give me a good reason why you think this change is for the better, please.
Note that my opinion is unbiased as I said, I hardly train anymore. I just can't wrap my head around the idea that this change would be good for anyone.
@funkyflame: not everyone trains with kishin. Im sticking with what I said.
and equal spawn for all!
@funkyflame: "training is a joke nowadays, maple is too easy whine whine whine" There you go, theres their reason.
@blackxmist: You think slower spawn is a good thing? I'm just trying to understand how people who support this change are thinking, I don't see any situation where this could be a good thing. Please enlighten me. Personally I don't care much, done training 4ever more or less, but this isn't a good thing for the community.
Better treasure it while it's still here :^)
All kishin did was make the super tedious grind (for levels or mesos) more efficient and less awful. Pretty unfortunate that JMS had it nerfed so badly.
Not surprised at all. On CMS and TWMS they already removed the respawn rate increase of Kishin over a year ago(altough the spawn cap increase is still present).
A skill turning the 6-8 second default RED respawn rate into 0.5-1 second one and on top of that highly increasing the amount of monsters is just plain broken. The fact that Kishin is partially bugged doesnt help either.
its about time
@believemenot: no more increasesd spawn, slower spawns slower meso grind (for them rebooters), slower grind, etc
the bad thing is that it will be harder to train now, kanna its a pretty good class for bossing and support anyways, but train will be a pain in the *
Can someone explain why this is bad? 99% of kannas are just mules anyway
I can understand if they want to patch the kishin glitch, but this is overdoing it.
oh what the ew
tf is this RIP
is there a list of changes or did they just nerf kishin for "balance"
