I don't get this (biology)
Can someone help explain the process of cellular respiration to me? don't need to go too in depth- high school level.
Thanks guise
not the formulas, i need each step in words,
I have a question for you, dont you have a book, with pictures that shows EXACTLY what is going on? Even thought this is high school level... still. this isnt elementary...
not at the moment unfortunately
Glycolysis
- C6H12O6 is converted to 2ATP, 2 pyruvate molecules (C3H4O3) and some water (H2O). ~occurs in cytoplasm
Citrus Acid Cycle
- The pyruvate molecules are then converted to 36ATP, carbon dioxide (CO2) and some water (H2O). ~occurs in mitochondria
Correct me if I'm wrong.
so how doe the whole "transition" stage work? like what enters, leaves, combines, etc?
I am skilled at biology... everything EXCEPT the biochem cellular stuff. sorry.
pyruvate is c3h4o3 by the way
hmm how bout i just ask you guys questions i have.. 1 sec
its too deep. Break down of glucose into pyruvate...then enter Kreb Cycle, then electron transport chain...then ATP Synthase...
its too scary, i don't want to go there again, i got a 84 on that test
not the formulas like
first glycolysis, glucose broken down to pyruvate .....
C6H12O6 is glucose by the way.
C6 H12 O6 + Sunlight = c6 h12 O6 + 6O2
