FINALLY finished downloading the 1gb manual patcher for v143, and it's stuck on "creatingbase.wz" for 15mins, not sure if its a problem or if I should just wait?

FINALLY finished downloading the 1gb manual patcher for v143, and it's stuck on "creatingbase.wz" for 15mins, not sure if its a problem or if I should just wait?

more than 200gb of free space left... not the issue here. Tried re-patching and it stops at the same spot.
When patching the process needs about 10gb total hard drive space to be able to upgrade. It will hang without error if you run out mid-patch.
Same thing is happening to me except I'm stuck on Applying: Maplestory.exe
Does anyone know how to fix this freeze? I've stopped and restarted the patch several times and it still freezes at the same spot.

why mine stills on checking the files?
@mxmemx How would someone have gotten a virus in there? o-o
delete maplestory completely and redownload and install it, the creatingbase.wz is a virus so close it FAST before you get hacked
