1.5m range hellux solo
Some people assume that every class needs absurdly high range to kill hell gollux. This wasn't a "pro" run by any means, it was my first time bossing as a night lord right after switching. A hellux solo could potentially be lowered down to 1m range with enough buffs, boss %, and ignore def (as long as you're hitting at least 22m). Anyways enjoy!

Taking thread over! 990k pre buff db hellux!
Not that I'll ever be able to solo hellux but just curious, when you get to the eyes stage and he does the hand attack, I noticed that you duck every time. Now I know the edge of the platform avoids the attack from the eyes but does ducking avoid the attack from his hand attack? Or are you just avoiding it merely with your high avoid rate and stat...
Ducking does avoid the hitbox for his hand attack. You are correct.
But for classes that need to go down to clear, the portal use is more advantageous as this is downtime anyway.
ZeroByDivide did it with 800k range, sure he's a lumi, but he had quite a bit of time left. I would imagine a skilled FP mage could do it too because of elemental ignore adding a ton of damage at a lower range.

You can't really compare other classes to luminous at hell gollux, since equillibrium lasts about the time it takes to kill the heart, they have a significant advantage over every other class
2.5m clean as an I/L with swiftness and dSI (no green pot because I don't think it would have helped). They definitely can not kill he'll gollyx with an 800k clean range.
@VivaBasura it's definitely possible, I believe @CherryTigers did it with around 1m range
@Lecarde I had 1.49m clean range, and 1.58m self buffed. Taking advantage of buffs is not against the rules lol
theres a guy in mage section who claims to solo hellux with an i/l at 800k range o.o and we all kno mages range is easier to raise, i hope he was just bsing o.o
only need 1.2mil range as NWs
But you didn't solo with 1.5mil range. You had 1.75mil range for the first two stages and 2-2 for the gem man. Your title is very misleading
I'm pretty sure clean range is what is considered when fighting a boss not the after buffs.
@CherryTigers : If only Evan had a vertical attack, I'd probably be able to get Hagnus down to at least single digit % with 300k buffed. Unless I'm doing it wrong I've tried late jumping EQ and it still didn't hit.
@CherryTigers: this seems reasonable to me

Did I hear "400k range?"
