Sony Timecode if you have Vegas Pro, it's a little complicated:
Create new text media and erase "Sample Text"
Extend duration to whatever (I change it to 50 hours for example so it doesn't loop)
Right click -> Media FX -> Sony Timecode (leave defaults and close window)
Right click the text media -> insert new envelope -> velocity
Now right click the point at the beginning of the text media and select "Hold"
You can double click to make a new point; right click -> 0% velocity to keep the timer still, 100%/normal velocity to make the timer go at real-world time
this is better explained if you watch a video but there's a brief description if you know your way around vegas pro
