Leveling up diligence

Since Zero weapons are completely untradeable, I have to level up my diligence on that character for when I want to scroll my weapon. Looking at the shop in Ardentmill though, they seemed to have taken out the fatigue potions and all of the materials. Will I have to buy all the mats from the FM or is there another way?

What would be the fastest way to go from 1-100 diligence? How much it costs doesn't really matter.
if you are using 30%'s, ignore this, but 70% you should just get lv 4 guild skill, and go as is. i did lv 3 guild skill, 70% spell traces: 7/8 70's worked
I'm thinking of doing 15%/30%. Not sure which one yet.

The method Pybo said is the best by far. I'm actually attempting that atm but you need to stock up a bit ie whatever you will make to get from lvl 10 to 11, get that amount times 45.

Shouldn't I be gaining diligence per level up? I'm level 3 smithing using this method and I haven't gained any diligence.

The only thing I spent was on the advance crystals (though why I bought 3k worth of them I don't even know)
But it all depends on which skill you learned; if it was alchemy then the cooldowns on your lvl 8+ will be 5 minutes. However if it was smithing or accessory, then it will take 15 minutes to cooldown.
Honestly, the hardest/shortest part was mostly getting from lvl 10 to 11, but the easiest/longest is remembering to log in every 24 hours to level back up so that you don't have to waste extra matts.

One method you can do to make sure you keep up with your matts is to personally search for them either in the mining/harvest map or to go to high level maps and find those heart stones/golden flowers as well as those regular/legendary mystery veins/herb as they drop a fair amount of stuff. Do this right after you level up so you can make use of the rest of your fatigue or, if you still have some diligence you can still earn (daily of 500), make those lvl 7 and below items.

Another thing you can do for the advance/superior crystal problem is to go to dipq and pick up the lvl 140 equips and alch them to give you some crystals (if you are an alchemist this will be easier).

This is all from my experience from when I tried doing this; took me roughly a month to go from lvl 45 to 100.
Also, it costs ~1m to level up from 10 to 11

All in all, it's a really good method.

You can gather your own materials via mining/harvesting in the field, there is no limit to how many times you can enter a day or need for a ticket anymore. If you're in a rush, you can buy the materials in FM but it'll get a little pricey. You can also farm ores/herbs from evo. You can basically craft anything with any profession to reach the cap of 500 diligence a day. People usually craft arrows via smithing since they're 1 silver plate per craft (typically 25 diligence per craft, iirc).

In order to go over the daily 500 cap, you have to level up your profession (you gain diligence on each level up) and then unlearn it at some point, and repeat the process. It would have to be your secondary profession (smithing, accessory crafting, alchemy), since you can't unlearn mining/herbalism after you've learned it the first time.
