Need help urgent, Anyone?
So a friend of mine has a laptop with 8 gigs of ram. He said i can borrow it since he can no longer use the laptop. Now my question to you is, is laptop ram compatible with the ram of my desk top? Like can i replace my ram cards with his? Also His is windows 7 and im windows vista.
ITS FOR MS PLAY SO IT RELATES.

Ya ik thats why i want it. 8 gigs is amazing dang so fail. Stupid corporation jerks.
Ram is differ pins and much bigger so it Desktop ram will not fit into a laptop and vice versa.
Nope im talking about ram. Dang are you sure it wont be compatible? Sigh 1 gig is awful.
people get ram and hard disk space mixed up a lot of the time, is this the case? Your hard drive will not work from a desktop, as they are 3.5 inch drives usually, were as a laptop has 2.5 inch drive.
Im not understanding what the problem is.
Desktop ram and laptop ram are NOT compatable with each other. Laptop ram is about half the size of desktop ram. But why do you need more ram, 8 gigs is WAY more than enough for maplestory. Unless you mean ram for your desktop, in which case you have to buy more ram

I don't think you can do that. Laptop RAM is specifically for Laptops while Desktop RAM is specifically for Desktops. They are two different things. You can't replace it. I believe this is correct.
You think it would? I hope it does i only have 1 gig of ram. The lag is not that bad but its not uncommon. Also i don't want to go for the long drive and hassle only to find out it wont fit in my computer. :\
