Favorite bad movie

What's everyone's favorite bad movie? I really like Hausu, it makes the decisions made by all other horror movie protagonists look like the right thing to do.

@carbyken: I remember really liking Pokemon 4Ever. I should binge watch the Pokemon movies sometime now that I'm older, I'm sure they'll be wonderfully terrible.

@ecarina: Even as a kid when I heard that I was like "WHAT?!" heck even my dad was like "That's bullsh%t!"

Pokemon 4Ever is to me the worst overall, the story just suuuuucks! At least I can mildly enjoy the first movie, but this? Yuck!

@carbyken: I love how they clearly realized halfway through production what a hypocritical message that was and had everyone got "not like this" after everything they said xD
"Pokemon weren't meant to fight... not like this"
Punching is wrong, electrocution is right.

Normally I don't like doing this, but I have another, Pokemon: The First Movie. This one legitimately angers me purely because of the climax; oh it's wrong to use are Pokemon for literally happy sack fighting, but then everyone forgets and goes back to doing just that.

Although despite that I get a bit teary over the scene with the real and clones battling each other. I won't lie that made me stop playing Pokemon for a good 2 months, then I started playing Crystal and all was right in the world!

Jingle All the Way - legitimately bad movie that I love. It gets better with age, because it would surely raise more questions with a school-age audience than it did back in its day. Why is this hulking Austian man in a family comedy? Sinbad is also a relic of the 90s and his obviously ad-libbed lines range from terrible to bizarre. 10/10

Batman & Robin - a movie that gets a really bad rap, but I think actually works well as a send up of the 1960s TV series. That's 2 for 2 with Arnold.

I don't really like the Asylum movies that are intentionally made to fall under the so-bad-it's-good categorization (Sharknado, etc). You can't manufacture that kind of stuff

The Happening is just WOW~!

Then again M Night's later movies are just impressively bad. Especially After Earth or World War Z. (Thanks YMS!)

@herroder I'm in a bad movie club where we watch terrible movies that are so bad they're funny, so that's why I was interested It's kind of hard to distinguish between a bad movie and a movie that's bad. From what I've seen, movies that are bad are usually just boring or do what they try to do poorly. Bad movies are bad because they're utterly ridiculous and screw up so badly it does a full 180 and becomes amazing.

The FP, for instance, is a post-apocalyptic(?) gang movie where the gangs basically fight by playing DDR. In the beginning of the movie, the main character's brother plays so hard that he dies and the main character goes into exile. They all talk in this weird slang despite the actors looking to be in their 40s, they use these ridiculously impractical ski boot-looking things to play DDR and act as if they're a good idea, and all have stupid names like "Btro" (pronounced Bee tro).

So usually the deal is that the premise is just so wildly ridiculous and the decisions taken are so baffling that you just break down laughing. If you ever have the time, I highly recommend Italian Spiderman. It's only about half an hour long but it's amazing and I think everyone should witness its majesty at some point in their life. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zen_zRmbKaM

Sorry that got long

@ecarina: i loved atla too, i didnt mind those little changes the movie made, i believe every adaptation should bring something new if not might as well dont do it cus itd be boring
as for the races change which is most people hate on i dont really see the bad thing since its a completely fictional world i dont see why should it matter, besides, they make more sense biologically speaking, white people are born to live in the cold while tanned to black handle the sun much better (so i think its cool they decided fire nation to be indian)
yeah every adaptation has their flaws but people took away all the credit the movie had just because the race changes and i find that pretty dumb

@vivabasura Well Avatar the Last Airbender (the show) is outstanding. The Last Airbender movie pointlessly retcons a lot of the world building and character personalities. Sokka and Aang become really serious despite being the comic relief in the main series. Fire Benders don't have the ability to create fire, and instead have to take it from a source, which isn't how their martial arts works and doesn't really make any sense. They changed a lot of the pronunciations of the names for no reason, the nationalities didn't make sense (Katara and Sokka were white in the movie, the Fire Nation actors were all Indian despite the original Fire Nation being based on Japanese culture).
Also the CGI Appa was horrific.

I don't think I've ever seen someone who didn't like Avatar the Last Airbender. It's just the movie that sucked.

Con Air
Twilight
Jack and Jill
50 Shades of Gray
I feel like there's so many more..

Favorite bad tv show though; Flavor of Love. Absolute comedic gold to the point that your brain cells start to deteriorate because it's an equal mix of terrible and complete hilarity. Just Flavor Flav and 20 girls competing for his love.. for three seasons. I regret nothing.

I like the titles of hilariously bad movies.

Lavalantula
Sharktopus vs Whalewolf
Piranhaconda

Plan 9 from Outer Space is a classic, though.
And don't forget A Talking Cat!?!

Nah, by bad movie I mean movies that are terrible and are funny because they're terrible. Some of the more famous ones are The Room by Tommy Wiseau, Troll 2, Birdemic Shock and Terror, Food Fight, and The Wickerman (the Nicolas Cage version).

They're really fun to watch and criticize with other people. The Room, for instance, has a lot of scenes in Lisa's mom's house. For whatever reason, Tommy Wiseau had decided that Lisa's mom should have a bunch of framed pictures of spoons, so whenever one of these scenes comes on, people throw plastic spoons at the screen. Silly stuff like that.

By bad movie I'm guessing you mean guilty pleasure type movies? Movies we know suck but still love?

If that's what you mean - my answer is --> Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters.

I wub all thing Godzilla. But only if it's Godzilla made in Japan.
Hollywood frigging sucks at Godzilla movies.
