I laughed when I saw this picture, brings back old times. Everyone that I met there had struggle getting up, but I did it with ease. And they were freaking out of how I got to the top so fast.

This is amazing. I love the way you made the trees in the background, like there's a morning mist/fog in the air and the sun is rising through the trees casting this wonderful glowy aura. <3

I really like the atmosphere here, and it's fantastic for a first landscape.
But I personally don't think that Photoshop is necessarily any better than SAI. They both have their pros and cons!

@enenenzo: Thanks! I'll make sure to look into those things real soon.
Once again, amazing job, keep up the good work.
@enenenzo I've always wanted to learn how to draw like this in photoshop, but I don't have the natural talent. Could you give a newbie a few tips on doing something of this caliber? Also, I don't know much about SAI, but I assume it uses layers too, so how many total layers did you have on this?
uh i used one layer for the actual painting and one layer for some airbrush effects...i used 2 brushes for the painting:one flat brush and one pointy brush both with the painty settings. i draw from light to dark so i start with the far background. there arent really alot of sai landscape paintings, but it can help to watch them for the general process. im sorry im not really good at explaining things T-T hope that helps (to some extent)

In 3D it becomes so clear. Why jump when you can walk around obstacles?
But seriously, nice painting.

A lot of artists actually prefer SAI over photoshop.
Many of the "well-known" basil artists use SAI as well.

Clearly you don't need Photoshop to produce something impressive.
