What the Current Gen Consoles are
It feels sad but somewhat true
Both the PS4 and Xbone
I know PS4/Xbone have their exclusive stuff (Bloodborne for ps4,Sunset Overdrive for Xbone), but half the games I own are just remakes and the other half are multiplatform. A quarter of both are Indies.
Edited the examples I gave because one was a movie and the other was released on pc afterwards.

@Chema: music may die soon too. In some ways it's already dead to me. Like nothing good ever gets newly released.
Technology won't die soon cause we haven't found out ways to do everything yet (whatever you mean by technology).
I think video games will die soon enough. They're running out of ideas. Sure, with virtual reality it'll last a few more years, but there's still too many clones of games and there's only so much you can do.
People used to say the same about music and technology

softmod your old wii and enjoy a vast library of 20+ year old games. pretty much all modern games are trash.
I don't own a console because pc gaming is where it's at.
So the Xbone & PS4 are just like computers that are similar. The Wii U is just a different thing of other sorts. Not interested in X or P, I'll just look at some Let's Play to see if I get interested but usually I not

@SirKibbleX2: you've heard wrong
i like the game selection on wii u better than PS and Xbox the only game i play on my ps4 nowadays is GTA and nba2k15, both of which are multiplatform games. the only sony exclusive i like is god of war, which isn't on the ps4 yet. but.... a gow3 remake is coming to ps4 though
Meanwhile, playing Smash on a 3DS is the closest I've gotten to console gaming on next gen platforms.
Neither the PS4 Nor the XBOne are consoles
Wii U is the latest gen console, however it is overpriced and it has no games
Both of these consoles have only been out for a short time. Developers are still getting used to the new systems. This is not new, people - the PS2 and PS3 both had slow starts, as did the XBox and XBox 360 (the main difference being that Sony had many exclusives to help propel their consoles forward, while Microsoft had two or three it relied on and tended to move at a slower pace using 3rd parties to move their systems).
Bloodborne is really going to be a "make or break" deal for the PS4's momentum, as it has become a high-profile title. If it does well, the PS4 might see some momentum from it... if not, there's always Street Fighter V @_@
I think video game developers have a hard time. When I watched trailers for new games on nintendo's channel the comment section is mostly filled with things like "this sucks give us majoras mask remake" Then you see the remake trailers and most comments are like "this is stupid they are making money off of the same thing all over"
Its impossible to please everybody
wii u is doing awesome tho
video games are dead
