Subreddit Maplestory Population
I have been curious as to why so many redditors are so toxic. Do they find enjoyment in trolling or hiding behind a username and take no responsibility for their comments/ actions!

Its just the internet lol. People say whatever they want. What matters is reality. My parents are getting older now and I want to take care of them in the future.
It's the mob mentality.
It's too hard to have a good discussion on reddit when only memes get upvoted to the top
@helpingly
Everyone's been triggered since the dawn of time. That's why laws exist
#anarchy
i used to lurk the subreddit but it was never as bad as this website was. i'm ashamed to admit i was part of the issue here back then. the subreddit is a perfect representation of the maplestory community tbh. it's not that bad, but it's better to just not post there.
It's the internet toxicity is everywhere. Reddit is actually pretty fun now that I've learned to accept it. Problem is that everyone is a triggered snowflake nowadays.
It is what it is. I don't think it's serious, but I guess they should have a guild photo section. Other people post them seasonally, I believe. Maybe more would if the game wasn't dead.
@distantsky: have some leddit gold kind sir *tips fedora*
>Why don't people like me and my guild?
Because there's no reason to?
@beefly: ofc not I don't ks people lol. and plus its also a different world the guy plays in rebot.
@ecarina: thats a cute analogy
So does anyone still play maplestory ?
Looking at that thread, it looks like you need to take into account what they're telling you. Remember that your Blackbean guild pictures are relevant to Blackbean members and people who know you. Anyone from a different world or who is not acquainted with your guild is just being shown a useless post. I don't think Reddit is the correct environment for guild pictures like that, and honestly I don't even really think Basil is the right place either, though at least it makes sense here.
It's like if someone went on r/Maplestory and posted 1 picture a month of pancakes. Like sure you put maple syrup on pancakes, I guess it can be related if you really think of it, but when I look at your blackbean pictures they're just as irrelevant as a picture of pancakes would be.
I think it's unhealthy to put the blame entirely on the other party without any kind of introspection.
@andreaverilia: hi sweetie
@ericmart: At this point it's mob mentality, agreeing with the top comment is cool. Just let it go.
I don't.. really care about that post, not even enough to comment. Okay maybe I cared a little when you asked for their IGN, are you gonna KS them?
Try something different if you want them to care. Like drawing, people are interested because of their style and hope they take requests.
@beefly: ya it's quite disturbing to the greatest extent that even my responses to their toxic comments are downvoted with no further resolution
@ericmart: Are you referring to this thread?
Well, unlike basil the subreddit has only 1 section so it's unavoidable. 1 month is still common compared to how slow the sub is anyways. r/maplestory also doesn't have a story/blog section, so those who don't care about any guild post must run into it.
Also, you may like guild photos, but I personally do not care. I don't even care about the pics of my old guilds, not enough to publicly show them to an area where few to none of my friends are on at the very least. I don't know about you, but I fear showing off myself too much to the point where I'm marked as annoying. I'm sure those redditors have a similar thought as I do.
When you've seen 1 guild photo you've seen them all, honestly.
I think that's why Basil is still alive, they have a blog section, and a screen section on the frontpage.
@beefly: it's not even repeatedly, it's like once a month or sometimes longer 0.0
And what's wrong with seeing guild photos, I love seeing all types of guild photos and find the unity still alive in the game
@ericmart: It's almost like they're tired of seeing posts from the same guild repeatedly.
Also I don't use basil I just login to my basil account to see the screens, read some threads and post comments like this one. So you know, nobody really notices me.
@distantsky: ehh i dont really browse leddit, i just use it to find quick news and inform myself with what the reddit admins have to say. I just use reddit mostly to share posts (guild photos) recently and it's instant down votes. but when someone posts a photo of emself in a map and call it "Guild Photo" instant likes?!?!
>he browses leddit
In all honestly I think the subreddit is less toxic than basil.
Probably because they don't have a Chat section.
