Is there even any reason to switch between sanrenzan and shinsoku, now that we're about to get these "2 modes"? Except for attack range as in distance.
Edit: found out about 5 second recast........

Still not impressed. Mained a kaiser, and will be officially done with hayato tomorrow when my gear transfers. Another top 20 hayato bites the dust. #rip

Is there a video about Hayato after the revamp, or does that JMS video show what revamp does?

I personally am still a bit mixed about Hayato.

That's not true at all. All of Hayato's skills can have very useful applications if you use them in a creative way. You just need to be more perceptive about how they work.
I'm puzzled as to why you would bring up Falcon Dive of all things. I consider it to be the Swiss Army knife of all my skills - I use it more than I use Sanrenzan. It has so many applications. You can:
- use it to apply its debuff
- combo it with Sanrenzan as an alternative to using Shinsoku in bossing - this will allow you more flexibility in dodging
- use it to land on platforms that are slightly out of your reach
- use it for invincibility frames
- reposition your character (e.g. in Gollux's first phase, Falcon Dive is preferable so you can stay close to the center of the head - other skills would cause you to overshoot)
- cancel the landing delay of Whirlwind Cut so you can start attacking with other skills sooner
- use it while airborne to extend the time spent in air (useful if you need to dodge ground effects and you were slightly off with your timing)
- and other things that don't come to mind at the moment

It hurts my heart to see someone say "a lot of skills on Hayato are useless", because our class has so much creative potential with how we use our toolkit. I feel like you're missing out on what Hayato is all about.
thats cause these children are hayato players, not hayato mains :O
Cept i use Shouryuusen and sweeping sword to solo maps at SDH so i use no 4th jobs

I love the current Hayato better.... L> for no so-called-revamp

Anyway... that new Hayato seems to have so many attacks but around 3/5 of them are basically all useless...
Even in the current one, I only use like 3 of the 4th job skills... Falcon Dive/most of the other skills IMO are all useless... Sadly I probably use 1/2/3rd job skills more than the other 4th jobs skills...

Sanrenzan for mobbing, Shinsoku for single target, and the ultimate slash skill for Crit and damage... all I use on 4th job and use all the 3rd job skills for transportation and mobbing... A lot of the skills on Hayato are useless...
In this revamp, it seems Kanna got the "better" developer. yet still going to be 4eva mule for people....
I can adjust to the new Sanrenzan and Shinsoku, but I don't know if I'll ever get used to Whirlwind Cut being that fast
i see that as a chance to fly through maps and train faster
the new stanced version of Sanrenzan is supposed to be 680% but 4 hits

Shinsoku is supposed to be 12 seconds now. But no one knows for sure
I hadn't realized the skill animation changes for the Battoujutsu version of Sanrenzan, my bad. I can't say I like the change much? It seems a little slow for a "bossing" version of the skill based on the video, but that'd be something to test when and if it comes to GMS. Also, the timer on Shinsoku is a bit of a bummer, but the damage increase looks nice.
wot he sed.

I have to wonder if the changes to the Sanrenzan skills made it impractical to use in this boss fight, as opposed to spamming the new skill, though.
I tend to liken Hayato to being the "Luminous of the Warrior class" - they're pretty good at mobbing and training, but bossing is their weak point.
