Miner's hat looks the same as hard hat so you could always do the CWK trading thing and get one.

Did you ever find a hard hat?
I've only seen 1 in Broa/Khaini and that was over 6 months ago. Pretty rare item.
i saw a guy in my rnj pq have it, he was pretty funded i would imagine so it has to be rare. dude was hitting 100ks at lvl 70
