player base financial statuses
After sticking with this community for so long, I've seen friends enter and exit this game plenty of times.
Now, quite a few of my former maple-mates, have grown up and entered that moneyrain.gif category.
Even at it's current condition, I still see many people spend absurd amounts of nx in game.
I mean yeah, you could buy it from players, and they could have bought it from other players, and so on.
But the decreasing population + the pigeonhole principle indicates that theres still quite a few large buyers of nx using actual currency.
So yeah, those two observations led me to wonder how basilmarket's financial statuses are... especially the big spenders.
I mean hey, if you're in that >70k category, $100 is better used as nx than as toilet paper.

Meh, spending money in this game is like spending money on a casino. Lots of promises of grandeur and profit, lots of disappointment afterwards.
Part-time worker here. Haven't spent money on this game in ages. Aiacu said it best way back on page one. The game's just not worth it right now. Probably won't be ever again.
student / working part time, I don't really think NX is worth my money, I'd rather go shopping than spend money on pixels. Anyways, It was always just merching for me when I needed in-game money. then again, I don't really even play anymore..

I do some volunteer work and free-lance art to keep busy... I've only made $100 or so off art this month, as most of it's just volunteer for local events (I do signs, flyers, posters, etc)...
off this semester for medical issues, so trying to find a job til January

I don't pay them. Human trafficker here.
~$60k per annum with practically no expenses. A good fraction is disposable. I can say I've spent no money on upgrading since 2011 and that's when I was leeching my family. In the intervening time, moderate amounts have been spent on collecting. I'd shell out money on upgrading again if I end up liking the 5th job and if some fundamental changes were made. I don't see those criteria being met, though.

I'm saving my money for the day after Halloween when all the candy is 50% off!

100$ is better spent on toilet paper currently, as you know what you get. With this game, in its currently somewhat unstable build.. Not worth any of my money, in my opinion. Get a grip on, Nexon. You'd earn more money if you actually cared about your own game.

Depending on what else you spend your money on you can save a decent amount for maple.
Especially if you live alone
