Whos quitting their world for Reboot?

Personally I am. Goodbye pay2win, hello real old RPG.

@jerry5000: Exactly. It's about luck but if you are ambitious enough, you can profit. Since I've come back, I've made 3b+ without the usage of NX and starting from nothing. Yes it took time but it was also free and I have made significant head way on my main. I'm glad you understand.

Haven't been able to try it yet, but I really think I am. I'm hardly active in my current world though, so, I wouldn't really be quitting Bera, just joining Reboot lol.

@kanji: Trying to Skype your girlfriend across the country and having to lie and say the sound of a keyboard pounding into a wall is a jackhammer doing construction outside is humiliating for anybody related to the story, amirite?

@ooo823: Truer words have never been spoken.

OT: Switched over in the span of systole and diastole. That's a heartbeat. Sure, it might go to P2W down the road (which I can see happening), and sure it's going to get boring soon. But for now it's fun and I'm enjoying my new Mechanic. Also got my IGN after watching some random holding the name for the longest time until the recent name wipes. I am content.

For a casual player like me, reboot actually sounds really refreshing and nice. I used to play for months on end, spent lots of hours and money into the game, but even with all that I never really went farther than a 'casual' playstyle. Never cubed or anything, just leveled, bossed some, and made sure my favorite characters had a clean RA set(again never cubed or spell traced or anything, never knew how and didn't care to spend more money just to screw stuff up.)

Reboot sounds like a wonderful place to not only start new with tons of other people, but to make friends and be a part of a cool community. Even though I played casually I always felt pressured to need to learn how to fund my character(s) and cube and stuff. Reboot world sounds like it takes the 'throw money at it to do amazing damage' and makes the game more 'have lots of fun with all the time you spend in it'. And on the brightside cubes are more available as in game money so I could try my hand at it.

It's not perfect or anything, and nexon can ruin it like above have stated, but it sounds like a lot of fun and a great way to get me to play the game more often than I do now. If all else fails I'll still have all my stuff in Khaini

@simaini: thats the reason why some ppl quit their world for reboot, because thye have nothing to lose.
@someyounguy: yeah trade makes the game more fun, some random guy could cube a gear and get 21% with free reward shop cube and you can buy it for a cheaper price than cubing it yourself. its also very frustrating to see random ppl used 1 red cube and got legendary while you used 2 packs of black cubes and the item remains unique. likewise, i could be super lucky and got good potential but not the % stat for my class, i could possbly find someone that are willing to trade me the right % stat in normal server.

In normal server you can trade "good RNG", in reboot the "rng" is not tradable.

I can only imagine how the bad-RNG will piss off reboot players, when you see random lucky guy achieved the same potential of your item wiht 10min of farming process while you farmed for 10 hours but the RNG always fails you.

@ooo823 Ya i understand that, it's just that i do have a level 155 hero a couple billion meso and i dont want to put a bunch of time into reboot if everybody else is just going to quit within a week. I guess nobody can really judge if it will remain popular though, thanks!

@reneton: It's funny because I said the same thing and had people flame me for being able to merch the market. Trading is a part of the appeal of this game.

Nope, why not play both Reboot and Windia?

@buuur: If you're new, you might as well start in Reboot. Reason being that within the near future you will probably find more social aspect with that much popularity in the server. Most people wouldn't want to leave because of how much they've already done in another server, but you're fresh so...

Do any of you think it will remain at least a sort of popular server or do you guys think people will quit within the next week? Just trying to decide if i should main reboot or remain where im at oh and PS im sort of new all together to the game

I'm not super interested in trying reboot. I was more excited for the class changes in this patch. Maybe I'll give it a shot if a lot of my friends/guildies end up trying it but I've put a lot of time into this character and starting from scratch doesn't sound too fun even if it is completely free.

@fruitloopdingus: i only spent 30$ on this game. i obviously can't compare to the people who spend thousands on this game but i still find it more enjoyable than needing to restart all over again. i used to grind all the time on MS, now i find it horribly boring to grind. i only like to grind to reach new jobs so i can use all the new cool skills, but when you played forever and have almost all jobs already, i don't think you can find grinding fun anymore.

Not me. I'll play in Reboot just for the sake of trying it out, but I refuse to start all over again there. I won't abandon all the work and investment I've placed in my main world. Besides, I don't see any fun in a world where there is no market, and I wasn't even a fan of pre-BB (I actually hated it except the community it had back then).

I don't even have any ties to Yellonde anymore since everyone I know is gone, so switching doesn't affect me much

blech, I'm not doing reboot. I didn't spend the "$2000" on a single character like you said, but I self made most of my equips. I'm too invested in the normal servers to play reboot. I used to play pre-potential system. I always quit at around the corner of 3rd job.

It's not crappy damage, if you're all doing crappy damage. I hope it's more party oriented and more people will be like "hey, you wanna party because we all weak af" instead of "cc, im soloing".

oh, and OT: i wouldn't quit my old world. because I do enjoy looking like a QT. But it'll be fun to meet new people and eff around.

@shamieekill: Which story do you want? The one where my old roomie (diamond I think) broke my laptop with a headset? The TV with the remote? The noise violations? Shattered keyboards and coffee tables? I have loads of stories where awesome people just act like total ____. My current roommate also plays, and bear in mind these are productive members of society, and I can't hear my TV in my room at half volume with the door closed and he has also gotten close to noise violations.

No thanks, I've spent too much in normal servers, anyways Reboot will become pay2win, eventually, of course not now, now they're trying to attach the players that did quit maplestory, once they got hooked into ms again, Nexon will make the game more pay2win, not as much as normal servers but in the essential aspects of the games, yes.

Let Reboot die anyways the hype will start to decrease in the next week, It's funny to see the people around so happy with Reboot, enjoy the beginning guys, because the game will take the nexon direction in short-lapse.

@simaini: Yeah nobody likes to be poor and hit crappy damage in a game that you have to spend money on to compare to the no lifes who spend 2000$ on a single character. In Reboot, everyone is on the same level and its more fair that way. How can you even enjoy MapleStory if you dont want to spend $$$? Personally, I cant. I rather play League of Legends lmao, at least that game doesnt steal your wallet for your enjoyment

@fruitloopdingus I don't buy NX. Thats why I wanted to play Reboot. But its too many people on rn. Gotta wait for the hype to die down.

Personally don't see the appeal of reboot world at all
Buying and selling items is one of the most enjoyable aspects of the game for me

i'm not. honestly, i was never even hyped for reboot world. why would you want to throw away everything you accomplished in your world and just jump to one where you start off with nothing? i think people are going to get bored with reboot world once the novelty wears off and return. nobody likes to be poor and hit crappy damage.

@tampons: Welp, its been months and nothings come like this in KMS. Reboot was designed to be a money free world, hence why cubes and upgrading is done through solo play and mesos.

After the cancer that I experienced today, I'm quitting my Reboot character and going back to Scania to enjoy my Dawn Warrior buffs.
