This current patch
1. May be one of the best content-wise that has graced the Maple world so far. Hyper skills are obviously a plus, but the Evolving system and the Dimensional Invasion, while may contain bugs/dcs, are definitely some of the best content we've had for a while.
2. Horrible to the economy. Tempest items are going down, Epic items are worth almost nothing. But wait, we can save the world by buying additional potential from the cash shop instead!

Tbqh our demand fluctuates all the time calm your tits
Are you retarded? More supply equals less demand. Less demand ultimately leads to, well in this case, lower quality of items. Lower prices mean that the economy is going to deflate, and that is obviously not good for the economy.
More supply does NOT equal less demand. If supply increases and demand stays the same (what is happening) then the prices will simply decrease. It has nothing to do in changing the quality of items either. Plus it would be good for the economy to deflate some. I mean right now everything is so expensive it is crazy.
Obama should think like nexon. Drive them prices down!

Since when does a increased supply mean a lower demand? If there is a bigger supply for an item, then the demand will still stay constant and the difference in between the two will determine the price. It's not really damaging the economy, it just makes getting epic tempest items more cheaper than it use to be. If there was a surplus of every item that's in high demand, then yes, we would have a problem. Of course, I'm not pleased by this to say the least, mainly because I lost a lot of mesos from it.
I just got about 600 unagis and watermelons RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaa
Yup, merchers taking a hit, but its not like they cannot recover. Most importantly players can afford things now, to some extent. New ways to improve potential usually tends to provide merchers and adventurers alike a way to make mesos and to improve their chars to boss. I am still waiting on how we will be able to handle the bosses when we get that impossible-to-kill-bosses-alone patch.
I love this content before i had no money to get % anything. In one day of evo world with its AMAZING boxes i got like 18% dex. Im still a noob but im a stronger noob
Do you understand economics? How is more supply horrible to the economic? How is making things more affordable bad for the economy?
@OneRockGod: I would have thrown them right at you if you were. Such a pity. Guess I'll just leave them be for when I start on the Fafnir set.
the evo boxes are there to help balance things out,, give the pore a chance, make the middle class, range wise, godly, let the godly stock up for later, mostly everyone wins, stuffs gonna be easier after unlimited anyway
@OneRockGod: They give out epic pot scrolls like crazy anyway (in hot times etc). I still have 5 of them that I just can't seem to get rid of. Not to mention the 80% scrolls from cubes.
@OneRockGod: You can get Tempest items that are instant epic (I think) from the boxes inside evolution world.

Love this event so much.
Miwok, Dimensional Invasion and the Evolution area are so good.
I feel bad for people who hoarded rings + epic pot scrolls
had a branch nose myself but I managed to get rid of it for 150m before the price dropped to the 20m it is currently
@ShadeCaro: A tiny bit smaller is probably still as wide as a ranch :[
well. i had two hundred million mesos in tempest gear from a returning gift box even, which was more than twice of the actual money i have. (idkwhyimsopoor)
now i have about ten mil. yay
@Skyenets: A tiny bit smaller is better than as wide as a ranch to me.
@ShadeCaro: It won't close the gap, that is for sure. Though it might make it a tiny little bit smaller here and there. It'll at least be easier to get 6 to 9% of a stat on your items.
It's nice that the lesser funded can get their hands on epic items now. Surely it's a bit hard on those who were merching with it, but they'll find something new.
Agreed. This might finally start to close the gap between the funded and the non funded in the MapleStory community.
Also, NPC everything you find in Evolution World. It's worth it.
