It is summer and Khaini/Broa are dead
Typically when people make threads about how maplestoy is dead, there are others who would argue that once it is summer the population will rise again. For several people, summer vacaction has begun, and yet my server is completely dead. Everyone is probably on games like Overwatch or even League of Legends these days. What a shame. I was actually looking forward to becoming active again for the summer, but I don't think that will be the case this year.

@samusaranz: What world are you living in where we've ever been caught up with KMS? We're almost always about 6 months behind in terms of release schedule, and that's still the case presently. The only "filler" update is the Detectives stuff, everything else has been events or content that KMS had, and to call GMS exclusive content "filler" is really demeaning. If you only want KMS content then play KMS.
Most high schools don't even finish until the first week of June so saying it's summer at the end of May is not only literally incorrect (because May is the 3rd month of Spring) but also effectively incorrect because the majority of students are still in school.
Yea the past couple updates have been terrible. I really wish they would stop with these filler updates and catch up to KMS already. Alot of people will probably start playing next month when the hero update comes. Maple as a whole is a lot less populated than it used to be though and I think it has to do with boring content+terrible stale endgame+pay2win/gap between rich and poor.
Move to reboot, pretty decent population.
I wouldn't exactly say it's dead, not nearly as popular as i'd want though.
I quit for a couple years in maple I got past 200 in broa. Haven't even bothered to check it out, I moved to Reboot since money was always an issue for me. I like Reboot :x Great for a mostly solo player like me.

yea summer actually starts mid june for most... at least w8 until then before losing hope for summer actives, i know 3 of my friends are going to starting playing again in two weeks so...
I'm just busy with work like usual, plus whenever I do get my free time I'm more interested in playing Blanc+Neptune Vs Zombie Army right now. (Seriously great game~!)
Even when I do get on Maple all my friends are off due to their own life. While I won't deny Heroes update is something I'm looking forward too; 11th Anniversary and Detectives were both underwhelming and just plain boring outright losing even more of my interest!
Can't expect great things all the time, but undeniably a good chunk of the past updates were just meh to just ugh overall.
Am I the only one who prefers less-populated worlds? When world transfers came out, I was trying to transfer to the least populated world. However, I quit a couple weeks before the update and missed the event, still stuck in Scania..
So glad I left Broa. It was such a shock after quitting for four years and coming back to that amount of people.
