Nexon - Taking a step in the right direction

In the last couple of days, I have to say I was really impressed by Nexon's actions.
First and foremost, I have a feeling we were supposed to get the nerfed version of the RED coin store, like CMS got. It's thanks to the official forums and fansites, like Basil and Southperry, that we got an even better store than the one in KMS.
Now, even though Commerci was delayed, I'm glad Nexon is taking the time to fix issues, before releasing new content. I was even impressed by the ridicules amount of hours that the engineers were up to fix the issues with RED.
And lastly, Nexon's last action that took place just now, the server check. They already managed to fix some of the most recent issues, like the Dragon Lord hack, that has been used just today.

Nexon might not be the perfect company, but I feel like they're taking a step in the right direction, and that makes me glad.
Do you guys agree?
I'd really like to see the population grow again

@Plenair: Brainfart
Let me rephrase that, to bring old players back, and gain new ones.
One of the "improvements" is based on your own speculation and the other two are things they should be doing. Oh yeah, great, now they're finally doing what they should of been doing. Not being sarcastic like it's a bad thing, but being sarcastic as it's nothing worth mentioning. Not because I'm super cynical, even if I am, but because this kinda stuff has occurred before. At one point Nexon is doing a "good job" (what they should be doing), but then right around the corner they start dalalaling again.
Well, if they got from point A to point B, that's an improvement. "What they should be doing" is also based on your own speculation.
Fact is, they're making efforts to bring new players back by improving the game.

Look at companies like EA, who won the "Worst company in America" award 2 years in a row. They're making billions even though players dislike them, so I think it's great Nexon isn't following their lead.

Thanks for the info, but do you know when this is happening?
Not sure. It's possible it already did.
It does indeed feel like they are changing. I have often been one to justify their "greedy" decisions from the viewpoint of being a company to balance neutrality, but now there's nothing even for people to complain about or me to defend.
Bringing the best of the RED patch, listening to players' input, and implementing cube crafting, the cubing system which was once reserved for solely nx-buyers. They just nerfed bosses so that more of the population can take them on without being extremely funded, while coming out with high level content for those who are at that point.
Class to class, poor to rich, They really are making it nicer for everyone.
@yourlossnotmine: Spend 10 grand on every game and you'll be superior. Nexon is a company, it has to make profit in some way. So to answer your question, no I don't have a problem with that.
Say you've been playing for 5 years. I can be playing maplestory for the first time, spend 10 grand and be stronger than you in a day or less.

..and you have no problem with that? -shrugs-
Say you spend the 10 grand on useless stuff
Please explain. They're selling cubes, an item you can create for free if you put the time.
It's obvious that paying customers will have perks like these, but they're not selling power, as you can create cubes yourself.

The fact that they sell power is already a good enough reason.

It really isn't.
Making cubes drop from boss + craftable was a huge step in making the game less p2w, considering cubes were probably Nexon's main source of income. I think they're making sacrifices in order to improve the game.
I think it's partially due to a shift in focus. They're closing down their game, Sudden Attack, which allows them to focus more on their other games.
Kinda upset about it, seeing as how they aren't even fully compensating the game. For maple however, I have to agree that they have improved a lot.

I don't feel like this will last, but good on them for what they've done these past couple of days. I'm impressed with the stability of the update so far.
