Maplestory Crashing Randomly

Got a new computer a couple of days ago, but I can't seem to play Maplestory for over an hour without my computer to randomly shut off. Maplestory is the only program that makes my computer crash.
Computer specs:
OS: Windows 8 Pro
Processor: Intel (R) Core (TM) i3-3220 CPU @ 3.30GHZ
RAM: 4.00GB
System Type: 64-bit OS, x64-based processor

I've looked under the event viewer for the crash log, and this is the event I found:
The process C:Windowssystem3*(2)*winlogon.exe (ADMIN) has initiated the power off of computer Server on behalf of user ADMIN for the following reason: No title for this reason could be found
Reason Code: 0x500ff
Shutdown Type: power off

**: Had to put brackets around the 2, as basil considers system3.2 a "nono".

Does anyone know what the cause of this problem might be?

So basically, all I can try is playing with compability mode, and if that doesn't work, change my OS?
My computer has been doing the same as of late. I can run any game perfectly, (Ex: Hawken, Slender: The Arrival, FF 13, Skyrim), yet when I play MS, after about an hour or 2, my computer shuts down randomly.
PC Specs:
OS: Windows 8 pro
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) 17-3632QM CPU @ 2.20GHz
10GB Ram
64 Bit operating system 64x bit processor

Help please >.<
Not sure if this works on Win8, but search "Power" -> click "Power Options" -> Check the settings. Make sure it isn't set to turn off/sleep after being idle for X amount of time.

Make sure to check the 'stupid' stuff. Is the power cord connected to the PSU all the way? All internal cables are connected properly?

Other than that, I don't know what it could be. Win7 is my specialty, sorry!

@GunPowder: hmm really? there should be 2 options there "power saver" and "balanced"
My maplestory crashes randomly too so it could be a Windows 8 compatibility thing.

No results found

I went to Power Options, but I can't see anything related to power saving.

4GB Ram should be more than enough to run Maplestory.
I had the same problem when I got my computer, apparently Maplestory isn't compatible with Windows 8, so you have to go somewhere in the settings for Maplestory and change the compatibility settings so it works. I mostly forgot how everything works but hopefully this helps.
To what OS did you change it to? XP (Service Package 3)?
EDIT: I remember switching compability mode to XP yesterday, yet the probelm remained.
are you sure it isnt something simple where your p/c goes into a power saving mode or so ?

anyway , it does seem like an automated shut down system , so just disable all of those and set everything to manual & see if that works
