New graphics card

I don't know why i keep asking, but since black friday is coming and somehow the deals come to Canada too i was just wondering what should i upgrade to?

Current board : Gigabyte GA-770TA-UD3

Current PSU: Antec Earthwatts 500W PSU

Is the 6850 still a decent contender still?

The some of the games i will be playing: Battlefield 3, Assassin's Creed 3, Need for speed most wanted. (My current graphics card is choking on these games)
Well, the 7850 can be gotten for under $200, btw.

22A is 264w under the +12v rail. There's two +12v rails for up to 22A each on the EA-500D Green which total a combined ampere of 444w or 37A. The only time you would see need a number that may go a bit over 200w would be during when you would be running Furmark/Kombuster; otherwise, its power draw would peak <200w during situations like gaming (note that this number doesn't take into consideration of the rest of your system - only the 560 Ti by itself).

You shouldn't need to worry about your system overloading it.
well if theres a good deal i might probably just get the 7870 then. And thanks for explaining that to me
What's your budget?

The "minimum" you typically see from manufacturer is taking in account of full system power draw, PSUs that are rated at PEAK power rather than continuous, and PSUs of varying designs/qualities. Your Antec Earthwatts Green 500w is a solid unit and would be plenty for a 6850 and 560 Ti. This would be even more true if you look to invest in a card like the 7850 or 660 non-Ti due to their lower power draw. They can both be gotten for $190~$220 CAD and maybe lower if you do the Mail-In-Rebate.
Say the 560 ti, i see a requirment of (Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 30 Amps.) I looked on my PSU and on the side on the 12volt rail it has a max of 22 max. is that still fine or not?

Also my budget is hopefully under 200$ but i'll debate it.

well since my psu is a 500Watt. Does it meet the minimum when it says Minimum of a 500 power supply. or do i need more than that just in case it dosen't overload or something like that

Can your PSU handle a 6850?

Try the 7000 series.
