Post your favorite animal because
I work at a nature museum and it's dead boring if nobody visits. I either end up playing Maplestory or falling sleep, neither of which are particularly appreciated by the museum curator.
So in an attempt to keep myself on task (somewhat) and awake, please name an animal you would like me to take a picture of and upload. Ill tag you in the original post I just got off work and the idea hit me so expect a wait time of at least 20 hours (when I return for work tomorrow) until you see the animal's picture posted!
Do note that these animals are taxidermied, meaning that they're dead and stuffed for display, if that matters in any way.
The animals at the museum include most ever kind in North America, regardless of region. We also have an African savanna diorama. We have sea creatures, different types of bugs, you name it.

@ilikefoodand I did find a mantis shrimp, actually! It's hiding in the back. Remind me sometime later, I'll get to the fox when I can :] It's not a Fennec Fox though. Just a Red Fox.

@soundawake it's scarier being the only one in the museum when it's pitch black.
I remember I got scared after seeing a stuffed deer as a kid.. but these pictures are actually quite nice (still a bit creepy though )

@Coast: No problem :] We have a black bear too, hiding somewhere. I think he's hiding in the trees, I"ll see if i can get a good picture of it :]
@themoneymam1: we have an entire case of Eagles and Falcons and Hawks so I'll snap a picture as soon as I'm back at work.
@random87: the toads and frogs are so cute! and didn't you know that's what pufferfish [i]actually[/i] look like? :o get educated! jk. The moose is pretty big and I think this one's only ~8 feet tall.
@coldair: ah, I wish we had one. I was actually checking to see if we had Pistol Shrimp but it turns out we don't :[
@AngelKinda: I'll see if we have that one soaring around somewhere. Some of the birds are repositioned to look like they're flying it'd be awesome if we had one just like that. I'll look though.

Wow I didn't know this would get such a massive response... and Basilmarket didn't notify me that people were posting so as a banket note, I will continue to update this list. However, I'm only working on Tuesdays thru Thursdays and the museum isn't open on the other days of the week so a second round of animals will be posted the following week :] Thanks for your patience.

The moose is pretty large so I'm satisfied with that he looks amazing.

My favorite animal is a dog. It's the only animal I have had that will do cardio with me.
My next is the gorilla. Koko is my favorite living thing in the world.

Orcas cause they're the top predator of the ocean but also extremely cute. <3 If I had to choose a land animal though it'd be the Fennec Fox.
