Are nexons servers slow? My school's internet is usually trash but today running exceptionally well at ~6mbps. I know that speed tests are only rough estimates and that the results should always be taken with a grain of salt. Or a whole jar of it, but the point is that the internet here shouldn't be what's bottling the download. Apart from bandwidth, the latency is pretty low, too. This happened the last patch where the patcher would take HOURS to download and the servers seemed to be clogged beyond reason. I'm just wondering if anyone's experiencing the same issues. How to get Helisium Cape? I'm looking for a Helisium cape/shoes for my Marksman and I'm wondering if Victor (the Dream Catcher boss in Helisium) would be a good place to get it, or if there are any better ways of finding a capes/shoes... or if there are better ways of finding BETTER capes/shoes.
Materials to Perf a Faf Wep? Someone let me know if I'm calculating it right first... So a Fafnir has 8 slots and 10 with hammers. With max Diligence (+10% success rate of scrolling) and Spell Fever, a 15% Spell Trace becomes 35%, right? So with 10 slots, that's 28.6 sets of spell traces I'll need. Just to play it safe, I'm guessing I'll need to attempt ~30-35 rounds of traces. Since each +9 ATK "scroll" requires 570 total Traces. That means I'll need 17,000 spell traces (which I'm close to getting.) Assuming that Diligence affects CSS, too, then 10%s -> 20% pass rate so I'll need 50x 10% Clean Slate Scrolls, right? So 20k spell traces, 50x 10% CSSs. Now here's another question; are iCoGs worth using on Fafs and if so, does it
Scaling and Funding Not to sound stupid, though there's probably more than few things I'm overlooking, but can anyone answer the reason behind certain classes "scaling" badly/well with funding? Here's what I'm seeing: classes with greater potentials have higher speeds and higher lines so classes like Kaisers/DBs have huge potential while Arans have lower potential for having at most 4 lines to play with (well, with Bear smack, that is). Incidentally, it happens that Arans' buffs give huge +attack which means for every additional +atk you put into the class, the return is far lower. So +1 attack for an Aran might do less for its damage output than would, say, for a Paladin or something. Could anyone give me some more insight as to
Efficient way to obtain Black Crystals? Right so I'm looking to make some Balanced Furies to sell and I intended to harvest and refine my own black crystals to maximize profit margin but... now Evo System doesn't sell ore/mining drops anymore so I'm really, really not sure how I'm going to get this done :/ Does anyone know of any efficient ways to get black crystals without buying from the FM or should I just consider this a sunken cost and walk away?
Best way to get RP and cubes in game? So I used to boss a lot mainly for cubes, but even doing most dailies (Zak, Hilla, HT, RA, Krexel) it seems really hard to get cubes from them. I do get some RP but even after a week it seems like it's not enough to get cubes. I'll continue to do this, but the thing is I'm a little stuck on farming for Elites, cos it does seem to be a far more reliable way and there's no "limit" to how many I spawn, as long as I spend enough time in game. However, soon my schedule's going to get pretty tied up and I won't be able to farm for Elites as much as I could over break and I'm wondering what you guys are doing to fund yourself in game, if you had to pick only one method to fund yourself. Is Magic Crash still a thing? Bind? Everyone wants bind. Who doesn't? Trying to take on Hard Magnus is torture without it. But what about Crash? Are there other bosses that are just ridiculously hard to take out without the use of Magic Crash? Or has its glory been lost in the Scar/Targar/Zakum days back in like 2012?
Bosses to grind on? It's been a while since I've trained on Maple and I just created a new DB (never really mained a thief before; have no equips going for it) and I'm looking forward to bossing more than I am grinding. However at the moment it's only 125 and has a pitiful 30k range haha. Besides Normal Zakum and Easy/Normal HT, are there any bosses I could efficiently grind on? Or would I be better off spending my time training elsewhere at like Monster Park or something? Thanks!
A trusted place to look for Windias server status? It seems that southperry is down often or it just doesn't update because I've been seeing the same image for several hours now. I'm pretty sure the servers are lagging like crazy and I keep getting d/c'd every ~5 minutes or so, but I can't really find anywhere to double check this. I've been able to check my internet bandwidth and latency and so far, it looks like it's a server-side issue. But I just wanna be sure so... Title?

Soaring skill? I recently purchased a Wing Boots Mount and I was wondering whether or not the flying skill would work for this mount like it does for the Cloud/Pegasus mount? And for future reference, how would I know conclusively whether or not a mount had the ability to fly? Does it have to [i]say[/i] that it can fly?
How does quipment Transferquot work? I was kind of hoping this was similar to transposing so I wouldn't need to spend forever trying to make an item again but eh. For those wondering what I'm talking about, it's in the "Equipment Enchant" (or did it mean to say "Enhance?") window on the 3rd tab, which says "Equipment Transfer." But it seems that I can't "transfer" anything over at all, even if the items are exactly the same and one is traced up. Would anyone care to explain how this works? Thanks!

I know there are a lot of guides and a lot of different opinions out there, but everybody's situation is different so I decided it'd be best to share my circumstances and receive some feedback for what I can do. So I've recently come back to Maple and I'm playing on a very, very broke character with rather poor equips.
