Maplestory v. 177 and Halloween Spooks
So clearly this last update has been a big one. Unfortunately they took away Star Planet, but then again, it doesn't seem like many people even utilized it that much. There were a bunch of smaller changes too, such as the reintroduction of party-play zones (I wasn't fully aware they were gone to be honest, just thought that nobody trained in parties anymore :c), and hopefully that reinvigorates some more party play.
One feature I find interesting is paying double just so that your item has a chance of not booming. Not sure if this is more cost effective or not, but I guess that just depends on the item that you are trying to enhance.
Of course, there are a bunch of other events too, 2x drops and EXP, and the other usual events that are typically holiday themed. They also brought back some Halloween events, such as the haunted castle and the Dark Lords of Darkness. So grind away and get those OP totems. Consider the amount of exploits related to it, it's definitely better.
@lulzmudkipzz: LHC still sucks, the mobs only give like 2k exp and it is party play. Magatia is pretty much entirely partyplay, so is commerci, drill halls and onwards aren't partyplay.
Did nexon share where all the party play areas are? Or are they the same as before? I wonder if that means LHC will become relevant again.
am i the only one find it ironic that nexon put the star planet removal under "better maple" category?
