Iam a UA (its in my ign btw ).
I started with pallies long ago, when there was only 3rd job and the best place to train was ludi. Then i started college so i didnt have time to play anymore and lost my account (hacked) and around 2 years ago some friends started to play again so they convinced me to start playing again, so i read a bit before staring again and found the UA palys and thought it was pretty good (the 24 ATT bonus from empress blessing and starting from lvl 50, + troll/soul driver <3 ), so i started all over again with a Dawn Warrior and see me here the UApaly is still my main

My pally is not a UA because i made it before nexon introduced them

This is my first character and I knew nothing about maplestory other than the job advancements of the explorer path.

I love the whole Paladin idealisms so I made it. Non-UA, and I remember how much I hated losers who made UA's to bandwagon the class when Soul Driver was OP.

UA Paladin Reporting xD

I made my UA Paladin about 2 years ago, and went on a hiatus for a year and a half.
Back then, It was pre-Ascension (Jump) when Pallys will lose the Element Buff when you use "Charged Blow"
Though I only had Pre-Ascension Paladin for like 2 Days It was fun.

I've thought through my UA when I was spending 2 hours picking up the [b]10 Peridots.[/b]
Paladin was actually the best choice. You're the special one and stuff because not many people choose UA Paladin back then.
It was always Hero and DrK for UA, people generally forget about Paladin.

I think UA Paladins are a good thing. For the people who get bored from training ofc...
Until RED (which will release in 6-7 month) Pages (2nd Job) has like little to no attack skill until 3rd Job.
Ground Smash is the most terrible skill, and yet the only 2nd Job Attack Skill for us. (That's why I love Soul Driver Back then...)
We have to use the Slash thingy from 1st job to level 60 (back then which was 70...)

Which is actually why we don't see much Paladins back in the days. And more and more now xD

came back after big bang, saw UA's were a fancy new thing and my highest level was a dawn warrior (level 44 lol). so i levelled him up to 120, coincidentally got a level 115 1-h mace (which was considered godly by the younger me) from a free gacha and decided to go paladin haha. i'm glad i chose paladin though, i love defense.
UA's are awesome though. the sprite looks really cool, many people asked me how i got it and the medal is pretty sweet too, especially when you got a nice KOC name.

I guess I made the character too early and didn't feel like doing the quest, still kind of look like I bandwagoned this when they made charges stack with lighting charge, but this was just a remake of my previous charater.

Why: I didn't know anything about maplestory when I first started, so I didn't know being a UA was an option. (Frostilyte is my first character lol)

I started leveling my page to 50 pre-BB for that event with Adventurer Rings (until this day I still have it). I still have that Honorable Explorer Medal (which I think could be somewhat a replacement for not being a UA and not getting the UA medal). After pre-BB, I decided to main a Paladin although I still made my Bishop (being my very 1st 4th Job Character pre-BB) before it. The fact that I loved pages/white knights after seeing and hearing about elemental charges was somewhat difficult to accomplish pre-BB. One of the reasons that charge blow uses up your charge completely and that accuracy was a big problem for all warriors pre-BB. Now that it has changed post-BB, I felt like playing my page from where it was on hiatus.
So in conclusion, my Paladin is non-UA or "traditional". However, I did manage to finish the Empress Might quest and the 1st part of the Soul Driver quest. I hope I still have motivation to finish the rest of it. The only thing I'm missing is the summon which I don't really care much. Being able to use Soul Driver on a non-UA feels like an achievement.

When Mihiles came out, I decided to train one and eventually I made my very 1st UA. Although I REALLY wanted another Paladin as a UA, I chose my UA to be a hero since it's my 2nd favorite adventurer warrior. I do agree that Soul Driver really speeds up training during the early levels of UA between 50-70.

Originally, after trying out Phantom and I/L, [b]Mihile[/b] was supposed to be my main. Yeah, Mihile. After I learned about UAs, I decided to choose between a Fighter or Page. I looked up both warrior classes, then I decided on Page due to the elemental attacks. Although 2nd Job was less boring with Troll Driv -- I mean Soul Driver, and being able to start at level 50 right out of the box, I used Slash Blast more often due to the speed.
Eventually, my UA Page slowly became my main once he became a Paladin.

The UA hat also looks nice, until I anviled a Reverse Rapido to a warrior hat. I still have my UA hat today in case I want to anvil it to a hat in the future.

I'm a UA bucc if thats something to add, I just made it because survivablility is pretty good. not to mention they are fast and pretty easy to level up!

I made it for the cool hat, and the little soul thing that follows you adds to the "knight of light" effect
Also the soul thing attacks once in a while, so adds DPM lol
I resolved the problem of my inventory space by using the free inventory expansion things nexon gave us for free

I liked the hat, and the feeling of completeness from getting the UA skill and summon
and I'll admit: it's satisfying when you use soul driver and people go "WHOA you're a UA pally?"
