Fairy Tail derped?

After rewatching the end of the Tenrou/Grimoire Heart arc...
Why didn't Laxus and Makarov both use Fairy Law when they had all that time to charge and combine all their attacks when they were demolished by Acnologia?
I know you could say Makarov was tired out but there is no excuse for Laxus.

smh Mashima

by the way, Sabertooth is Foddertooth... stupid Plotsu and his roar of the nakama asspull... Sting/Rogue were fodderized

I think you mean jellal. He appears in almost every arc in some shape or form

@heyitsmexD: Exactly. But you know, he likes trolling the women in this series. I feel so bad for Lucy as well... Twice in the same arc.
@heyitsmexD: Yeah, I see what you mean. Mira, Juvia and Gajeel aren't weak but are always pushed aside. Mira is not serious or doesn't have enough magic, Juvia turned out to be a comical relief and Gajeel is ignored.
Yeaaahhh during the Grand Magic Games, the "so-called" strongest team in FT comprised of Laxus, Erza, Natsu, Gray and Gajeel. Replace Gray with Mirajane and you have it.
@heyitsmexD: Oh, my mistakes. I forgot about that arc. One thing that I hate is that Gajeel is frequently getting pushed aside. And he's not even one of my favourite characters. I liked him protecting Levy though.
I was angry that it took Gajeel everything he had to defeat the GH scouts when the scout even said he could not match up to the rest of the 7 Kin while the rest of the FT members nicely defeated the Kin. It shows that Gajeel is weaker than the rest of the main FT group even though he is not...
The prerequisite for Fairy Law is that they have to oppose the Fairy Law user. It's pretty dumb if they could use it all the time when they have energy. Anyway, it's a dragon. Even something of that much calibre wouldn't stop it. Not even Zeref could.
well yeah but it makes the most sense that Fairy Law has the most potential to do the most amount of damage in that situation. They were cornered and the most they could've done was Fairy Law. Acnologia was a present enemy which fit the prerequisites of Fairy Law.
@heyitsmexD: Too bad he went Nakama mode. lolz.

@evanexus: No, that's not what I want. What I want is for Mashima to stop giving Natsu all the spotlight. ie. the recent tag battle. It's not a tag battle if only one of you is fighting. For Natsu to get stomped once in a while and have another character fight, more support character development and for the powerhouses to own the final 'boss'/villain of the arc once in a while. The only time where Natsu didn't defeat the boss of an arc was the Phantom Lord arc. It's annoying seeing Natsu own everyone while lowering/making everyone else seem weaker than him.
@MeshMage Well... Gray did defeat Lyon in the Galuna Island arc. lol I don't think Ultear was the main villain.

I agree. Yes Natsu is the main character and needs most of the spotlight but please do it when it makes sense.

-Natsu beating Jellal? (it was supposed to be Erza ._.)
-Natsu defeating Laxus?
-Natsu defeating Dorma Anim? (Okay initially it was 3 DS vs Dorma Anim but near the end, Mashima just abandoned the other two then let Natsu take the spotlight) It should've been a team effort all the way to the end.
-Natsu beating Zero? (ehh this one is dodgy but I guess it makes sense since Natsu went Dragon Force)
-Natsu defeating Hades? and Laxus just deciding to give all his power to Natsu when Laxus's victory over Hades could've been a good plot point for his redemption and return to FT. Who wouldn't want to see a high-level full mage fight either? I'm tired of seeing Natsu beating every high-level mage.
-Natsu soloing the Twin Dragons of Sabertooth?

Did you also forget Natsu learned a lesson from Gildarts then he totally forgot about it when he blitzed Hades?
So basically you guys want the main character to get stomped by every enemy throughout the manga all the way to the end? You'd enjoy that more?
Well I hope you guys find a manga like that.
No I want a manga that actually makes sense instead of pulling the friendship/nakama cliche that magically boosts their power to beat their opponent. Mashima crazily hyped Sabertooth to be the top guild and Sting/Rogue were the strongest of ST but they were easily stomped by Natsu/Gajeel. I expected FT to win but there wasn't even a match.

there is so much asspull it's not even funny
-Laxus who is Gildarts level got beat by Natsu during the Fighting Festival. He even went Dragon Force... this is just the gist of it.
Indeed, dearest friend. I actually expected FT to lose so that they could win in the 5v5 since that's what usually happens. And Gajeel... smh Mashima.
Ehh I expected Natsu/Gajeel to own them but struggle and actually have a decent match when Sting/Rogue went Dragon Force. Maybe then Natsu could've just went Lightning-Fire dragon mode and then demolished them.
