I stood around in the cold for 3 hours to get mine, then I installed it, downloaded the "unlock" files on Steam, my only current complaint is that the optimization is currently crap. When I can run BF3 on a mix of High and Ultra (where it uses entirely DX11) , with 40-50fps on average, I expect to run Skyrim (which uses entirely DX9) on Ultra with full 60 (like I did with Oblivion, Fallout 3, and New Vegas all with texture mods installed), instead I get 40FPS on High.
Was it really worth waiting 3 hours outside? I just went and picked it up with no line
EDIT: lol so I accidentally killed a woman in Riverwood then the entire town started coming to attack me =( good thing for auto saves

It's already here . I have it DL'ed already (but I can't play today, so i'm pretty sad/mad lol).
You mean off the game marketplace?
Because i wanna play Skyrim on xbox when i get it..
No. When you have the game disc of a game, you can download the game to your console as well via the disc, which makes the game's loading times a lot less and generally makes gameplay a lot "smoother". You don't have to download the game to your system. The problem here is that the game uses the cache system in the 360, and when you download the game to the 360 you're using less of the cache system. So, by downloading the game, there are errors being caused graphically. There's a fix on the way. Right now, if you have the game disc, you're supposed to refrain from installing it on your system.
It has nothing to do with the marketplace.
What type-a graphics card do you got there, champ?
Geforce GTX 580m
My friend is playing on my xbox as I type!
If you're downloading it to the 360, you should probably stop it, considering there's graphical glitches linked with downloading the game to the 360.

PC. I giggled when it auto detected my video card and asked to optimize. It decided to set it on "ultra high". hehe But im probably going to tone it down to high so it doesn't heat up quickly.
I wanna get it, but I've never played a Elder Scrolls games.
Should I get the previous games to get the story? or it doesn't matter too much.
All of the games exist in the same world, but their stories are completely different, much like the LoZ games. They make references to each other, but you either notice them, or you don't and it doesn't change anything. I only played a little bit of Arena (1) and fully played through Oblivion (4) and they don't interlink at all.
nope, I have a life
