part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Gi5eCi2s6o

i'm liking the new team rocket theme.
SUMMARY: (taken from serebii forums, although i edited a bit)
- Oak invites Ash and his mom to a Pokemon professor summit in Issue

- Ash is really taken in by seeing the new Pokemon

- Team Rocket use a new machine to try to catch Ash, Zekrom appears and it shocks Pikachu, overloading it and causing it to lose its electric abilities.

- Giovani tells Team Rocket to leave their Pokemon behind (except for Mewoth) and catch new ones native to Issue so as to not call attention to themselves since it seems nothing but Isshu region Pokemon exist here.

- Ash meets his rival, Shooti, who is at Araragi's lab picking his starter Pokemon

- Shooti basically thinks Ash is a bit of a hick, he's not like Paul, but still just not nice outwardly

- Shooti picks a Smugleaf

- Ash battles Shooti, finds out that Pikachu can't use electric attacks.

- Araragi manages to get Pikachu's abilities back

- Ash wants to travel around Isshu and sets off

- Iris has never seen a Pikachu (or any Kanto Pokemon) before in person and is spazzing over seeing one in person, Pikachu is all "-__-" over it and shocks her when she hugs him too tightly.

- Iris sleeps in a tree that night while Ash in his sleeping bag, she's gone in the morning

- Ash catches a Mamepato, Iris watches the entire thing and says Ash is acting like a child being so happy about catching a new Pokemon (not in a rude way, more like a "Man you're as giddy as a kid" way)

- Team Rocket attacks, Iris is filled in as to who they are, Team Rocket snatch Iris's Pokemon whose name I forget and Pikachu

- Jessie has a new Pokemon, the furball thing with bat wings, easily beats Ash's since he just caught it

- Just as Team Rocket is getting away, the Mijumaru from Araragi's lab shows up and saves them

- The new Joy is introduced at the PokeCenter. She says she's never seen a Pikachu in person before either. Ash says he's from Pallet Town and that she looks different from all the other Joys he has met.

- The Mamepato (bird pokemon like starly) that Ash caught is just a bit of a show boat.

- Iris says that Ash is a little strange, and still a bit of a child, but she's really thankful that he helped her get her Pokemon back.

- Ash wonders why Mijumaru saved them, Mijumaru is watching from outside with a curious look on her face.

He is 14. And hopefully there will be a show of Brock sometime during the Isshu season.
I find it hard to believe that ash's pikachu isn't already lv 99/100 XD
and can't 1 hit every other pokemon o.o
it always gets handicapped at the start of the new region. i wish he'd just beat the shooti guy and then have him get pissed off enough to want to beat him.
I believe he aged, but it would make a lot of sense if he was still 10. Think of it, level XX Pikachu which is dubbed speacial by Team Rocket gets beat by pretty much everyone. Ash needs to get a Light Ball on his Pikachu or just start trainning it. When's the last time he did anything with it aside from teaching it to stuff his face full of Brock's food? That Pikachu is shown to be on par with Elite Four pokemon, but he can't beat Paul? He can't beat whichever new rival he meets?
He did beat Paul. Did you miss his epic Sinnoh League battle?

Team Rocket actually seems serious this time around. Y'know, not blasting off, actually giving a challenge, actually seeming like a threat. Ash and Iris would have gotten their asses kicked if Mijumaru didn't show up.

I really hope it was an error, because its basically impossible for him not to have aged and is basically the same age as the recent beginner trainers that have just started when Ash has been on his journey for 4 years already.
however, family guy and simpsons are basically stories without timelines. they never age, and is only there for cheap comedy. In Pokemon, they actually state the passing of time, and months through leagues and large events such as that one annual festival in DP in Twinleaf town that marked the start of a new year.
Then Ash happened to find the water of Life soon after his 10th birthday (:
Floating timelines aren't totally uncommon... the Simpsons and Family Guy employs such a device, even though they are supposed to be more satirical compared to Pokemon
You know what kicked most ass in the original pokemon? it being irrelevant to the show

Lol, the narrator really does say Ash is 10 years old. That doesn't make sense at all. xDD
Anyways, I haven't watched Pokemon in a LONG time, even though I have played all the games. I must say, this one's pretty good! I love the OP, too!
I forgot to mention that I LOVE how they incorporated the in-game music to the anime. Although rearranged, it's still awesome!
I'm not. I said I heard the narrator, but it's probably an error or saying something like started his journey from the age of 10. However, it's truly impossible for him to not have aged all this time.

It's quite impossible. You always hear them say "oh the league is 3 months away, or the grand festival is 6 months away." Each region takes approx from half a year to a year. He is 14.

I've read the manga.... Clearly the younger generation of today is missing out. Who cares about that failure Ash. 4 years and hasn't won against the Elite Four. 4 years and still doesn't know how to raise a team. 14 years old and hasn't had a date!
well, considering the elite four are consisted of adults, I'd be surprised if he beat the Elite Four, considering that they are old veterans while Ash has only been on his journey for 4 years...
